How many here used to be on Equestrian Connection? The EC BB went offiline for quite some time and remained “dead” even when it came back. Maybe we should repopulate it.

Tandy and I were two of the original members of EC three (or four?) re-incarnations ago. Gotta be close to 15 years ago, now! :eek: :lol:
I just went and had a look. The board looks pretty abandoned, and my antivirus is blocking a “malicious url” with every page load. :eek:

Just checked it out…the new software they use seems pretty clunky, too. :no:

That was also one thing I disliked about the Muck Bucket was that you couldn’t delete your account. With this new board, it is very easy to delete your account if you no longer wish to have it.
pmc, I feel your pain about not wanting to join board where you don’t know the admins. I’ve seen way too many cases of admins playing favourites or sending snarky/bullying messages about members behind the scenes and it doesn’t come out until the messages accidentally get sent to the wrong person.[/QUOTE]

Don’t have anything novel to add…but am really disappointed if the board does not go back up. They can’t be the only board with spam problems?
I liked the size of the board. I found most of the people friendly and helpful, and I know it was a reliable source of information.
I hope it goes back up. I like COTH but find it too big and miss the Ontario-focus.
I will miss the ask the vet forum and the sales forum. Thanks to all the mods who worked on the emg board.
Starting to see quite a few of the EMG folks at www.equineontario.ca and some interesting threads started. Since it looks like the old board is gone for good I hope this might become the new gathering place. I need my daily fix of horsey gossip and advice!

I can’t keep my old username says “Aven” is too short. Oh well I don’t have Aven anymore sold him years ago lol. I will go by other internet persona “Dundreggen”

Well I tried to join that board but what a hassle. First it tells me that my password doesn’t match. Finally I get past that and then it states that they don’t recognize my email address. Did manage to get past that but then it still wouldn’t register me. I gave up.

I gave up.[/QUOTE] Special Effects who manages the board has a sticky posted to address just such issues , TMB also had issues with multiple scammers and alters etc… There is an email address in the sticky that you can communicate through if you are experiencing issues registering…

I had the same issue. I tried again and started all over with a new account and the same thing happened again…It never showed me logged in ever. So I too gave up…
AND a big NO to the muck bucket.
