Weird. I had no issue at all with Equine Ontario. Took about 40 seconds to register…I like the format very much. Similar to EMG. I agree…Muck Bucket just not for me either.
Yup. I even sent a note to find out how to register –– and when I tried to log in found out I was banned! 
I am glad I am not the only one. I was beginning to blame it on my lack of computer skills.

Very interesting comments. Just to clarify a few points …
TheMuckBucket.com is on the exact same software as COTH - it may just be a version or two off. It’s because I liked the way the COTH software functioned, that I purchased vBulletin. So if anyone states that they don’t like it as much as this one - that makes no sense.
The only difference is that I allow pictures without buying a Premium Membership.
As stated, a BB is exactly what people make it. If you want busier classifieds - use them. They’ll be busier. If you want more ‘technical’ discussions, please start them. I have opened forums on the request of members. You just have to participate and ask. The boards are exactly what the users make them. Yes we have some sections that are chatty, but it is a very supportive, caring group. And if you need to know something - just ask.
About 70% of our posters are from Ontario. The remaining 25% are from other parts of Canada with about 5% from other areas - US, Europe, Australia. So for people looking for a Canadian board or an Ontario based board - I think we qualify.
We’re on FaceBook as well so we have fun all over the net.
As far as the grumbling that you cannot delete your account - it is exactly the same set up as boards such as COTH, EMG, HGS, Pedigree Query etc. I followed the advice of Admins of some of those boards in the set up of TMB. They explained why and what experience led to those decisions. I listened to them.
Many people have successfully joined TMB. A few had a couple of problems and emailed us at TheMuckBucket@gmail.com and they were quickly helped and are now on the board. Please feel free to join them.
We are currently working with some of the people that were associated with EMG and will advise of any changes as they happen.
We’re up and functioning and would be very happy to be your Canadian horse BB.

I may have changed it, I can’t remember. That’s how it was originally set up. Then a few people complained that they couldn’t edit their classifieds. I couldn’t do separate rules board by board so it had to be all or the 10 minutes.
Now you have me curious lol …I’ll have to go check. But I believe you can edit for 10 or 15 minutes without it showing that you edited. Then it shows. Then (I think) you can’t. Crikeys… the mind goes with age huh? :winkgrin:

catherines … I checked and you have 15 minutes to edit without the “Edited by” message appearing and one day to edit or delete. After that you have to ask a mod to make the changes.
I had it open at one time, but people were abusing the action by starting a fight and then deleting their nasty comments and saying ‘oh that person created problems - not me’. So far the way it’s set has worked with the terrific people we have on the board. And we had several more join us tonight.

That was also one thing I disliked about the Muck Bucket was that you couldn’t delete your account. With this new board, it is very easy to delete your account if you no longer wish to have it.
pmc, I feel your pain about not wanting to join board where you don’t know the admins. I’ve seen way too many cases of admins playing favourites or sending snarky/bullying messages about members behind the scenes and it doesn’t come out until the messages accidentally get sent to the wrong person.[/QUOTE]

For anyone who was having problems logging into EquineOntario, the admin found an issue with the cookies and has now fixed it. All should be good now!
Still a no go for me. 
I should have 3 accounts there now and not once does it show me signed in. S’okay I guess I will just hang out here.

It’s like any sandbox scenario … when the attitudes and opinions get too strong and one sided or not to your liking for whatever reason you look for another sand box. That’s why TMB lost a significant number of it’s prolific posters .
It’s all about sandbox etiquette and whether they share the toys in a manner you can find acceptable .
