Equestrian Stockholm saddle pads

I quite like the Anky pads but I find them on the shorter side for big barreled horses.

It looks like a mini skirt in my hubby’s 16.3hh jumper. But on my short ass Friesian it’s quite a nice fit.

If it gives you any hope at all, mine arrived yesterday! Unfortunately, with three relatively large holes in the packaging, but thankfully, the saddle pad was fine and not damaged. Maybe a smudge near the bottom, but it’s a black pad, so you can’t even really see it and I’m sure it’ll come out in the wash. Fingers crossed yours arrives soon!

Mine arrived yesterday! Unfortunately I did not have time to ride yesterday, nor will I have time today. :frowning:

I feel that. My horse is with my trainer, about an hour and 20 minutes away, so with my work schedule, I usually only get up there once a week to ride for a lesson. I have a ridiculous number of saddle pads considering how infrequently I’m currently riding! Hopefully, that will change next year, though. :crossed_fingers:

There aren’t many pads included in the sale, my credit card is so happy

Well, for the first time ever, I have saddle pads that slip down over the withers, and my saddle is sliding back an inch or so. To double check, I rode in a “standard” saddle pad, and it didn’t do it.

Something on the underside is slick, slicker than any of my other pads. I’ll try some tricks, but momma ain’t happy. Hmmm…

I have some pads that creep back (but not the saddle just the pad) and they’re either ES, PSoS, or Equito. On my Eskadron glossy pads there are silicone letters or shapes. With non glossy pads and LeMieux the pad doesn’t move.

I wonder if you could apply silicone onto the pad to mimic Eskadron or Anky (the ANKY letters are silicone) and maybe that would help?

As for Anky, I bought an Anky pad and it’s miles too long. So, that was another fail for the compact horse :woman_facepalming:

Oh good idea. I assumed it was the contact with her back, but you’re right, it’s more likely the surface in contact with the saddle.

I loathe the Anky pads…couldn’t get one to stay in place if my life depended on it lol

Mine have been long gone since I bought that third horse.

Somehow my saddle pad obsession has waned in recent months and I shouldn’t be reading this thread.

I finally got my silver cloud ES set. I’m a weirdo who loves grey, so why not buy a grey matchy set for a grey gelding?

You just burned a hole in my pocket. I have been looking for orange that isn’t SUPER BRIGHT ORANGE and didn’t see this in their color collection spot! Searching “paprika” brought it up though and I just ordered a pad and bonnet (which happened to be on sale).

Lemieux thanks you for another customer

Does anyone have the ES Deep Olivine color pad? Im thinking about ordering one of those too and depending on the photo online, it looks anywhere from a hunter green to more of like an evergreen maybe? I like both colors a lot, but was curious to see if anyone has seen it in person.

One the horse looks like it has a little more blue but isn’t full blown teal (which I love). I like the more Hunter looking green too. Maybe just a matter of how the light hits it?

I’ve noticed this on one horse, but not the others. The ES pads definitely shift backwards on the senior guy, but I chalk that up to his mutton withers and dropped back. We’ll see if it still slips after a few washings. Using the keepers helps, but it’s difficult on monoflap. I ended up looping them around my stirrup leather, under my leg.

I’m going to try a small piece of those carpet nonslip pads, when I remember to buy one (or steal the one from the house)

Yes I have the deep olivine set. It’s definitely not blue at all. It’s a deep muted hunter green.

I can try to get a photo of just the pad by itself in a little bit.

I just took these, one is next to a navy rug for comparison.

Thank you!! I definitely like this color :star_struck:
