Miss Melanie is the best reason to watch the live stream and not network. The livestream guys are excellent. Sorry I don’t know their names - both men did the commentary for London as well.

Agree about the live stream announcers. Very good although they were less talkative by the end. Other than some odd moments for commercials and missing some key portions of some rides, it was worth watching.

Veronica became one of my favourites also the grey Pippa Funnel was riding - looked just like a fitter leaner version of my own horse (was having horsey dreams of being there.)

I’m having a hard time finding the order of go for the stadium jumping tomorrow. Anyone have a link?

Isn’t it simply reverse order ?

BB the order of go cannot be decided until we see who passes the jog tomorrow. It looks like it will start at 10 local time, 8 am here, so the jog will be probably 2 hours earlier? The lowest [highest] will know they will be jumping early.

based on today’s results, I vote we send all remotely talented 12 year olds to foster with horsey families in Australia or New Zealand until they are 18. They can come home via France with a quick stop in Germany.[/QUOTE]

Sounds like they want to send some of ours over to absorb whatever it is that produces those riders

One is definitely John Kyle & the other is (I believe) Mike Tucker.

And John Kyle’s brother Mark Kyle rides for Ireland.

I didn’t see any comment on Linda Algotsson and Fairnet. I kind of loved her round. She looked like she was out for a nice summer’s canter around the park, with a few jumps in the way. And occasionally, whoops, went around one, no big deal I’ll just pull up, trot around, canter over that 4* fence and continue on my way… no hurry no worry

Double…

Well, there has been a debate in sweden about the captains line up. He named quite few people to the long list.

Ludwig Svennerstål, Sara Algotsson and Frida Andersén was already in the team.

The rest was supposed to be named in the beginning of july but the captain suddenly said that the remaining spot and the reserve was to be named between 3 people (Anna Nilsson, Linda Algotsson and Niklas Lindbäck) after doing one more round in Aachen (which was close to olympics).

Anna didn´t even start the XC in Aachen due to minor injury, Linda had two stops and Niclas didn´t make it thru the XC (both Lindas and Niclas horses pretty new to this level).

Unfortunately Annas horse (who has quite a lot of experience Europeans for example last year on the team) got some sort of light cold on the flight and captain thought it was better to have Linda steer around the XC on a newbie horse than a 17 yo with a cold.

So I believe she just wanted to finish even though at a leisurely pace since the horse showed that he was a bit overwhelmed at Aachen…

they all passed the vet!! Everyone who was presented was passed, altho they held Happy for a second jog!

Very smart plan given how many had refusals and/or falls!

Whew! Imagine how horrible it would be to survive that CC course only to have a horse come up lame the next day…I’m sure it happens all the time, but still.

Woohoo! Eventing jumping is starting!
If you’re in Canada you can live stream it here:

Start list for today. I had to reload my page a time or two, so try again if it doesn’t pop right up. http://rio2016.live.fei.org/Eventing3/startlist
