Eventing at 2016 Olympics in Rio

Boyd is really going for it! Looks scary fast to me!

Boyd is really showing off our OTTB’s! His little red horse is downright catty over those fences

Boyd clean with a pinch of time pen.

Unfortunately the stream left out much of his ride, including the difficult complexes

Come on cameras, where is Boyd? I want to watch that good red horse run home! What a gallop he has.

Thank you for the update. I expect he took a long route somewhere to accrue time? That’s a marvelous horse.

Yeah even the live stream online doesn’t show everything. It’s on the TV now but it’s not really live- there’s definitely a delay.

Is there anywhere that show live scoring changes and standings?

I’m not sure what’s up, but I’m watching xc on the live feed…

A big shout out to showing about two of Boyd’s fences while I got treated to a few “coverage will resume shortly” and then extended sessions of people walking horses in the cooling area…

If in the US you can get on the nbc Olympic app and rewatch the dressage. The ride times from the Canadian link give a rough idea of when to scroll to.[/QUOTE]

Thanks. I tried that. Obviously I’m not looking in the right spot.

I do like the long tracking shot of the horses galloping up to the last and then crossing the line – really gives a sense of the speed of the horses.

Watching the livestream on NBC website. Really enjoying the commentary and camera work. Thanks NBC Sports !

Course looks crazy fast, wondering if we are going to see anyone clear on time.

Does the footing look hard to anyone else?

Astier Nicholas made it look like a hack in the park.

If I would ever event it would be on Ranco. What an honest trier.

That Chilean chestnut horse is such a good sport and so honest. He tackled that course like a wise gentleman.

I missed most of his ride (darn meetings) but my mother said the same thing. She wants to ride that horse.

Doesn’t seem like it’s Canada’s day. I hope the last two to go have better luck.

Kathryn and Let It Bee eliminated…with of course no coverage so didn’t see what happened. They were showing a rider cooling out after finishing. :frowning:

ETA - they were showing Ranco cooling out. Who BTW I also was drooling over!

Boyd looked TIRED. Horse looked amazing.

Seriously? Men’s Water Polo is on NBC right now rather than cross country? So stupid in this country that we think that’s more interesting. :stuck_out_tongue:

Australian Christopher Burton just came home clear on XC!
