Eventing at 2016 Olympics in Rio

Damn damn damn so gutted for Fox-Pitt’s refusal. Was just thinking how smooth he and Chilli were and then they missed that second element.

That’s right, a couple of the top riders in the world are on course-- perfect time for a commercial break! [sarcasm]

Mark Todd and Jung both on course at the Olympics. This is so cool. Not looking good for my 11am conference call.

Took it OFF TV in the middle of Michael Jung - and put on FENCING!

Seriously, I just went to check back in and FENCING! Come on!!

those of you with the live stream, I just saw that Sam & Michael took the direct route through 23/24 the Malmesbury Cottage. Did that line ride/look as crazy as the photo’s of it look? I’m trying to image it! That is the main jump I would LOVE to see a Vine or clip on!

I want a Breyer model of Sam. What a horse.

Chilli Morning is brilliant. Sorry it wasn’t their day.

Loughan Glen does not look like himself.

Clark Montgomery just had a second refusal and is out.

Clark must be so gutted after that round :frowning:

I was waiting for somebody to ride that route! Of course he made it look easy.

tv back on Clark

Carlos Perro and Summon Up The Blood eat up the course and only 4 time penalties for the home country!

Go OTTBs!

after some bad starts, most are getting around now.

Someone help me out with the team/individual rules here. Since Clark is out, that means we are no longer eligible for a team placing, right? Or do we just go on our top three scores? I never did grasp how that works…

So sad for him. :frowning:

There’s a drop score so it means we need PD and LK to finish.

I’ve never know what would happen if no one finished 3 riders. I assume they’d just take the best score of the teams that finished 2?

probably give no team medals.
I think this Frenchman was the BET rider yesterday. STUNNING!

that horse is RARING to go.

I’m enjoying the course. I think the time is too tight–but I like the fact there are viable long options and that those less experienced are utilizing them (as well as those who are experienced).

Its on USA 242 on direct TV, bad rotational fall, didn’t catch who it was

I’m fan girling hard over Pippa and her gray–I have always been a huge fan of her ever since I was a kid.

Maybe an Irish rider? Was hard to tell. Looked like horse caught left rear? Relieved to see they both got up and walked off.
