Thanks - it was an interesting read.

Fantastic article that brings several issues re: horse rescue to light. Interesting to see AC4H is continuing unhindered by FBI investigation.

Very well written.
Love this…

Sheidy told a reporter that the FBI’s chief interest was related to health certificates for the horses under her care…
According to their website, the FBI focuses on eight primary areas of criminal activity: terrorism, counterintelligence, cyber-crime, public corruption, civil rights, organized crime, white collar crime, violent crime and major thefts. There are no categories consistent with a dispute about health certificates.

Can’t wait to see what the Federal prosecutor lists as their “substitute” for “failing to have health certificates”.

I think AC4H is desperately trying to reel in as much $ as they can before they’re shut down. I don’t think the FBI will take any action until they have all the information gathered to make the full case. From what I understand, there is a ton of info being gathered, and it’s interstate, so it’s going to take some time.

In the meantime, AC4H continues to hang themselves even tighter by ignoring the FBI situation and continuing on like nothing is happening.

Here’s another informative piece:

It address the FOIA thing too… once it’s been requested multiple times, it’s on the USDA/APHIS website. For those crying that no one on COTH has requested the documents, it’s kinda’ irrelevant.

I must be missing something… can you tell me what this has to do with the raid on AC4H?

The entire marketing plan for AC4H was “the truck is coming.” No grays, no ponies, no horses over the age of 18. Yet AC4H was claiming…at risk of slaughter. In the kill pen. The truck is coming.

Ah… thanks for clearing that up

AC4H markets broker horses as in danger and need of rescue because they will ship to slaughter.
The more you know about slaughter and what the plants do/do not want, the more you see through AC4H.

Just an FYI…grays ad older horses can ship and will have uses other than for meat/consumption. They’re still used, however I don’t know how some shippers handle that since there’s a price difference in $ per lb for meat horses vs product horses.

That may be true, but the point of fact is that the shipping documents for 2010 for Brian Moore, AC4Hs broker, do not show a single grey, pony or mini.

While understanding slaughter in general is helpful, seeing Moores shipping documents is even moreso, in terms of helping to understand how he or AC4Hs markets [or not] the various horses he buys and resells and/or ships.

Good point, I’d guessed not all shippers will bother with non-meat horses. When shipping it’s business sense to fill the truck with the highest dollars you can.

You mean like the grey severely foundered cushionoid pony they sent me after allegedly (according to one of the volunteers at the farm) being exposed to new horses from the auction while Christy was being paid for quarantine of the pony?

(Not to mention the harassment that started when the thug that runs AC4H started calling my vet and farrier in an attempt to smear me and attempt to make it look like I had not cared for the sick pony she sent me because she didn’t like something I posted about one of her other rescue buddies. Yes, I am bitter and hope she gets everything she deserves, including jail. And I can only hope karma comes back and bites her in the ass. Hard.)

Geez, I haven’t been doing my daily reading for a few days, so was excited to see this thread at the top again, thinking there was a development. I should have known better that it would just be a few pushing their personal agenda into every possible related topic.[/QUOTE]

This thread was the tipping point that made me finally plonk Bluey and Fairfax on my ignore list for that every reason. I won’t miss anything going forward I’m sure.

Since you call my name, let me say that putting anyone on ignore is only hurting the one that does that, as they now lose what is going on in the discussions.

Surely anyone posting here is mature enough to hear what others have to say they disagree with without having a fit over it?

Yes, I know, pointing out false prophets have clay feet and why is never welcome by their followers.
BUT, if you want to defend them, you have to listen to what is being said about them.

Those that use the ignore function change their mind about that quickly, once they realize how absurd it is, since they are the only ones left out.

I use the scroll function, so I only have to read what I find of interest and yes, there are some posters I just scroll thru, not interested in what they have to say, have heard the same many times already, but keep the option to stop and read if something else interesting comes up, like my name being mentioned above.
I think we can learn from anyone, sometimes anyway.

I re-read what I posted on this thread and from all I post on, that was a strange one for anyone to be that annoyed as you say you were, I didn’t have hardly anything to say thru all those pages.

Be my guest, enjoy yourself in posting limbo.

Ummm…yeah, right.

Does Christy Sheidy really believe the general public is dumb enough to think the FBI just randomly decided to pick on her and her rescue for no reason at all???

Christy, once again, the feds don’t care if your horses are sick or in quarantine. They care that you steal people’s money. More importantly than that, they care that you don’t pay taxes on the money you steal.

Actually, the “general public” probably IS dumb enough to believe her lies. After all, it’s her ability to lie that’s netted her (and her “associates”) big money over the years dealing horses and singing her “truck is coming” threat song.

I think that’s why she won’t shut up. Apparently she doesn’t have a lawyer as I would think s/he would tell her to clam up. Or maybe she does have one - a really crappy one.

I like how Christy appears to be barefoot and the girl holding the horse is in flip flops. That’s shows a real horse-person right there.
