Celebrating shark week!
That is adorable
So cute!!!
He looks great! It doesn’t look like his balance was affected at all. He’s probably wondering why his toys left. He’s going to be so excited when he gets to play with your other cats
Zero issues with balance his new trick if I sit on the ground is to scale my back and sit on my shoulder forever. I can’t wait until he can play with everyone!
His vet checkup went well today. He got two vaccines and dewormer. He had diarrhea today so we came home with probiotics and I’ll take in a fecal as soon as I have something for them to test. He clung to me the entire visit I kept having to peel him off me to give to them lol. Stitches come out in a week his reward was a new toy which he looooves

It may be his equal in size, but he’s literally Killing It!
It’s actually a “kicker” toy to mimic hunting for cats he knew exactly what to do when I tossed it down.
Oh my gosh, he is just too darn cute!
He hit the jackpot when he found you
He hops like a rabbit! So glad he had a good check up. You’ve been a most excellent Mom to him, no wonder he loves you
About 100 times a day eating in my office is no longer an option he’s just up in my face trying to see what we can share lol.

No tail is certainly not causing him any issues. So adorable!
He certainly is more agile then any other kitten I’ve owned. He’s also a spitfire I let my friendly calm pup in to introduce and he was charging her and bopping her on the nose while hissing. Sooooo we’re going to do double gates at the door for awhile then a single gate at the door then face to face.
I do think he picked up a virus at the clinic for surgery. He slowly went off wet food days after but I thought he was being picky because he still ate the dry. Then the night after his vet appointment for vaccines he was sneezing and lethargic. That night I added an oil filled heater and kept the room toasty and by the morning he was back to bouncing off the walls with some sneezing here and there. His stool sample came back all negative and his stool is mostly normal now. I’m going to keep it warmer for at least another week but he seems totally normal now.
Stitches come out on Tuesday and hopefully that’ll be the last of the beginning saga and we can continue normal kitten life.
He is such a cutie!
He has the best disposition, especially for everything he’s been through. Cam you feel where his spine is missing? The pic looks like there might be a divett there or maybe that’s just the shave job.
You did a great job with him & I’m so glad he found his guardian angel in life.
Your other cats must be like, “WHAT is in the office???” You better warn them that he’s scrappy LOL
Oh it’s gonna be a fun cat introduction I can already tell I have a 3 year old male cat who desperately needs someone to play with him so I hope this guy does. They did the removal right where the spine was separated. They kept more of the skin to close it up. There is a little divet from where the puncture and neurotic tissue was removed.
I hope Mobile and your 3 yr old become best buds.
oh man the next few(2ish) months of weekends are going to be rough. I also have an inkling as to how he may have been attacked. This little kitten has ZERO fear or self preservation. During the week I work most of the day in my office so he’s fine. Weekends we spend as much time with him as possible but he just yowls being alone. He also took to darting out of the room as fast as possible before we can grab him so we gave him some time out. Introductions to cats went great he just runs straight up in their face and I’m pretty sure they’re too stunned to do anything. My two younger cats sniff him and follow him curiously. The two older cats growl and hold their ground. There’s been zero swatting and just a random hiss.
The current delay in him having full access is my terrier dog. She’s a total sweetheart but has a strong prey drive. She’s fine with our current cats because they’ve been introduced as hers and when they were bigger. The smaller the animal the more exciting it is. So we’re letting him roam and she’s on a leash on the couch with me getting lots of treats for breaking eye contact watching him etc and he just runs over full speed and jumps up. I kindly pushed him off and rewarded the heck out of my dog. I’m now doing a double gate at the office when I’m sitting here so maybe she’ll get tired of watching him run around. There’s no aggression in her posture or behavior but I just don’t want the run and chase instinct to take over. I know we’ll get there it’s just a process and his braveness isn’t helping lol. Anyways I could 100% see him separated from mom/siblings and just running up to the face of a fox or something dangerous like are you my friend???
