GO GET HIM! I think hes adorable and will be a great project horse. the horse is very well put together and just because hes 15.1 doesnt always mean much. I would much rather prefer something that fit me (in his size range) than something overly huge. hope you can snatch him. im sure you could get him for pennies right now.

I second uShip, I had three bids in under an hour, knowing it was a short-notice haul.
Would it work to get them to a halfway point with one hauler and have another pick them up?
And mcorbett, retail suicide? As in resale value? Take Me Flying looks like an ADORABLE horse for a child or smaller teen, or an adult who likes smaller horses. He’s beautifully put together. Not everyone wants a huge warmblood lookalike–this one’s so pretty he’d be a great investment! :yes:

I spoke to Highcliff that stood the stallion and they want to pay to ship Midnight to Old Friends, so we have a ride for him.
Now we need to know that the horse can go there. I am calling Old Friends now and will let you know…

I dont think he’d be resale suicide at all. I think hed make a great children’s hunter/fox hunt prospect. i could really see him in the hunter world though; even if he is smaller. there are plenty of adults out there looking for something a little closer to the ground but safe. Heck if you need someone to put some miles on the little guy next summer i’d be happy to do it!
My warmblood i bought frm auction is around the same size and we have had plenty of people interested; however i have opted to not sell him until next summer as i dont really have a ton of time while im still at school to get him going.
He is as cute as any horse on here…and with that beautiful, powerful build he has, how about a career as an eventer? 
He deserves a chance!!

YAY!!! COngrats everyone! thanks to all the breeders and previous owners who have stepped up and offered to help a hand and especially a big think you to Old Friends who have been so incredibly generous to bring these 2 guys into retirement.

Thanks for the heads up…I heard all about the fall, but I did not watch the race…too upsetting. I saw it on her race card that she fell, so I asked one of the FL gals what she knew of it. She was straightforward and told me all she knew about the incident.
When I called to inquire more about the horse…the trainer was very forthcoming about everything.
I guess she jumped the fence, too, after she got up, and we do want one that likes to jump;);)lol
I am trusting that what I am told is the truth. She’s not costing a fortune, so I am willing to take the risk…

I want Jo Cosmo…He reminds me of my old boy same age that I got him at same height with those kind sweet eyes. He even has the same name as my little Jack Russell Cosmo that got killed last year and he has a nice pedigree. If he was closer to me I would get him in a minute. I am still going back and forth on how much it would be to ship him to WA but I think my husband would go crazy…

If we can’t organize the ride that quickly we will need a plan b till Highcliff can get a van there. She is going to speak to MS’s owner/trainer as she knows him…
