Finger Lake Race Track -- End of the Season -- Many New Homes -- Warmest Thanks
Could you guys please sort out Rocky’s fate before I do something crazy? Thanks!

(I do not need another horse, I do not need another horse…)
Oh… but he’d be such a nice color contrast to your other Finger Lakes Finest! hee hee

I totally agree! If you have bays or greys you just have to balance them out with chestnuts…its horsey feng shui!!

I adore Rocky and hope he comes to Colorado very very soon!!!

Keep Running is a cute filly with Gone West and Halo behind her

And lookie at this one:

What a nice gelding he’d be!

Lucky to Cope’s trainer is looking into shipping options–if he doesn’t find anyone heading west I might be looking to hire a shipper. If someone (EquineLVR?) has a horse or three that needs to move out and wants to combine a load, PM me.

And hey, colors–collect the whole set!

I can get a shipper but not till middle of Jan. So I dont know if that will work out or not.

I would be shipping in the next couple weeks so it probably wouldn’t, unless you wanted to move yours earlier.

Waiting to hear back from the trainer on shipping anyway…there’s also a remote possibility he’s hauling to Columbus and would take the horse that far and I could arrange a pickup.

And bump…some really nice horses still on there…

I’ve shipped a couple horses long distances from here and have gotten some folks to do it mighty quick. Try u-ship.

Or call Louie (phone number at the bottom). He did us well shipping to NM.

Just call me the enabler from now on

Well, that’s the idea! My current FL horse could use a friend.

(I do not need another horse, I do not need another horse…)

Don’t you know that FL horses are like potato chips? You can’t just have one!!

And Rocky has the sweetest face!!

I sent them an email…

So I think for sure we are getting Rocky but not sure about Western Buff… what do you all think of her conformation? She seems kinda odd in the withers but maybe its the pic? Anyone see her in person?

I did not see her in person. Her neck set is a little low, but this will be improved a lot by weight, aging, and working in a proper frame. Louise told me that when this trainer took her on she was pretty thin. He has put some weight on her, but a couple hundred pounds and building up her neck would make all the difference in the world. A lot of the TBs I get off the track have a dip in front of their withers like that; truthfully, it is not a big issue to me.

EquineLVR I think Western Buff is absolutely lovely! I wouldn’t think twice about the dip in front of the withers on a racehorse in her shape. She has pretty obvious potential to have a lovely topline and engine with some basic work and groceries. She’s just three and not in great condition but I really think she will blossom into an impressive powerhouse type of mare. This one had a bad dip (worse than it looked in the pic!) that was much improved in just 8 weeks.

The price surely is right and if she’s for an amateur, disposition sure does play a key roll. So, +2 right there

She looks built uphill, with tight clean legs and even decent feet for a racehorse (she has a heel!). She looks to have a kind eye and straight legs, all the better for a h/j prospect.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but she seems to have low-ish set hocks, all the better to learn to be handy on

Totally agreed! And those lowish hocks are also all the better for sproinging off the ground over jumps with!

WOW that is a huge difference… ok I will call Pat and ask for both!

I love them both - whoever gets them is SUPER lucky. If I could have any horse on the website, and I mean ANY, I would take Rocky. I loved him the first day they put him on. Doesn’t hurt that my favorite colored horses are chestnuts with blazes. He just looks fabulous - what a guy. I bet he’d make up into a tidy eventer! But I’m destined to just have one horse, the love of my life - my big mare - until sometime next year when maybe I can convince hubby that our new empty barn needs a cute TB in one of its stalls. You must keep us posted on what happens with these two!

Oh, on my list, a close second to Rocky would be the grey named Rock and Roll Roan who is Rocky’s half brother. I thought there was some reason I was falling in love with these two guys! The have the same sire.

Phew! Glad to hear it!

Rock and Roll Roan

Merle, you have great taste! Rock and Roll Roan is a neat horse, great movement, tremendous personality, a great all-around guy.

Awesome news, EquineLVR! I’m quite sure once she has some groceries and gets some muscles you will have a gorgeous mare on your hands! I actually like them both, a lot - I can’t wait to see some update posts!

Woo-hoo EquineLvr!!:yes::yes: Did you find a shipper?

CoolMeadows…that doesn’t even look like the same horse!! What a handsome dude!
