Oh my. I shouldn’t read this stuff at work. Sometimes I can’t answer the phone because of the lump in my throat. We have had riches of blessings this week and I mean that sincerely.

Love these stories. I recently filled my empty stall with an old campaigner. He is adorable, and easy peasey… He had his first trail ride with my old TWH last week and was a rock star, forward, eager and just having stress-free fun… LOVE IT…

Hmm I posted earlier today and it vanished but anyways…in that post I said I had an empty stall…well after tomorrow afternoon it will be filled. Gazellephant will have her own paddock too! I cant wait to meet her
Oh Anon, what wonderful news! Gazellephant is such a pretty young girl, with good bone, and a very sweet personality. She is also very well bred, by Grand Slam out of a stakes placed/stakes producing mare. I took a short video of her on Saturday trotting, and even though she is still just a tad off from her sore tendons, she is quite a nice mover, with a good flat kneed reach to her stride.
About a month ago we were informed by her former trainer, who first listed her with us, that she had been sold. We did not learn until this past Saturday when her new trainer flagged us down to list her again, that she had actually been given away to this current trainer – who had obviously taken great care of her in the intervening month, but who also realized that at this stage of her development her growing body was not yet ready for the rigors of racing. Hooray for this current trainer and Anon for doing the right thing by this lovely quality filly!

She races today in the first at FL, field long shot at 11-1.
Let me know how she does, just out of curiosity.
I am not in a place to firmly commit to another (mainly because of time), but will keep an eye on her as the end of meet draws closer.
The plain ones with jewelry can be a hard placement, and she sounds like track life doesn’t necessarily agree with her.

She ran dead last – stumbled at the start and trailed the field. Jogged back fine. Her trainer agrees that track life does not agree with her, but the owner wants to keep racing her some more. So she most likely is not immediately available, but if the trainer can persuade the owner to come to senses, then she should be available as the end of the meet time comes around. The trainer told us she did get several calls on her when we first listed her, but had to tell those people that the owner was not yet ready to let her go, and to call later in the season. We have advised the trainer to hang on to phone numbers if more people call, and she said she would. But if you are really interested I would just keep calling every now and then-- the looming presence of a serious buyer might help the trainer persuade the owner to let this filly move on to a life that will agree with her more.
Warning for anyone heading to pick up a horse…if your trailer can hold more than one, make sure to “fill in” the empty space before arrival or it will be filled for you
Gazellephant, I guess, did not want to travel home alone so she brought a girlfriend along with her…their were a few geldings who wanted to follow the pretty girls home as well but sadly they were turned away, its only a 2 horse stock trailer
My trips to the track are done for the year but I highly recommend visiting and bringing a few of these beautiful horses home.

Sorry didn’t mean to be suspenseful but since she wasnt listed on the FLF website, I didn’t think anyone would care…oops silly me
BTW–thank goodness Gazelle is a sweetie because she is HUGE! I turned her out into a small paddock this morning and she was playing until she saw the deer in the field behind the mares/foals and her ears pricked up and kept an eye on them until they disappeared into the woods.

Of course we care about all Finests, whether listed or not yet. Every one someone takes home is one less that needs a good home! And we know Double Prime was one you had your eye on… hooray. We will check in with Ulises to see if he wants us to list BJ’s a Honey so perhaps another suitor will come her way.
And let’s hope Gazellephant doesn’t decide to live up to her name and channel her inner Gazelle into jumping out and romping with the deer!
And now, Anon, you and your mare harem should go celebrate with some Premium Wine, wink wink!
Such a fine group of Finests this year, as per usual! Anon, many people end up bringing home more than one, once they get to the track! Funny how that happens, eh:cool:
Foundationemare, clear your inbox, girl!
Labor Day weekend bonanza of Finests!
Whew, we’re exhausted. We had two teams at the track this weekend, and in between showing shoppers around, we photographed 15 more horses to list who are looking for great new homes. This new group should be up on our website this evening, and then on FB too. It’s a great group, with something for everyone in it: a young black beauty with excellent breeding; a flashy bay who looks like a great show hunter prospect; a big beautiful chestnut girl with lots of chrome; a handsome hunk of a fancy 3 yo chestnut guy; some dark bay lovely big boys; some bay war horses.
Just trying to whet your appetite – check them out soon!
Fifteen new sets of pictures are up to drool over. Ten have their listings done and the rest will go up as soon as I get them. I will do head shots tonight, but they are included in the photo sets. I have a crush on a few already, but I think Pay The Judge is the current “cheesecake”.
My goodness Chief Fire Water has some chrome!
Yup, pay the judge hers a vote from me as well! Handsome!
Here’s a vote for Cocobolo…saw him last week and he is gorgeous, he is also running in the 1st today. His trainer does right by his horses, they are exactly how he reports them to be. I have 3 mares from his barn and they all are easy to work around, even flyspraying the “ticklish” areas. And I have 2 Prime Timbers and they are level headed, not hot, tend to be “talkers” but not crazy and both ran forever and still have great legs.
Thank goodness he is a he and not a she!
Cocobolo scratched from the first. Does that mean someone ponied up the cash?
^ Wow, he is stunning! His topline looks great. Congrats!
