Thank you Beam Me Up! He came from the wonderful Dan Conway and has been a fun, educational little horse.
buffalo colleen…do you ever need help going out and photographing the available horses? I’m currently horseless and live only 10 minutes away so if you guys ever need help, I’d love to get some horsey time in!!
I can’t believe Tricky Break isn’t gone yet. What a cutie!

One year later… my FLF, Seawalker :)[/QUOTE]
WOW, what illuminating before and after photos! Great for showing people how an OTTB can look once filled out and remuschled. He is stunning – you’re oviously doing a great job with him. The Conways have such nice horses.

I can’t believe it either! He is one of my personal faves from this year so far – he is a seriously nice horse with a great personality. We just posted a new video of him on our website that really shows off his nice movement. And his price is dropping – just informed today that it is now $1,000 “highly negotiable” – this one might be the bargain of the season.
Inquiry re: FL trainer
Hope y’all don’t mind if I ask: I bought an FLF from Dave Markgraff in 2009 and have followed his entries & race results ever since. I have noticed this year he is barely active. If someone knows and doesn’t mind sharing - is all well? You can PM me if you want to answer off the thread.
Frisky
I remember Pay the Judge from when he was racing at Belmont/Saratoga/Aqueduct. Always struck me as a good, solid citizen. Too bad I’m not allowed any more horses till some of the old guys move on. I’d take him in a heartbeat.
Pay the Judge is stunning. Talk about “looks like a WB.”
Frisky, even though Dave has been a fixture at this track for many years, I believe he pulled up stakes and is concentrating on the work he does on his farm in Ocala. He breeds, breaks babies and has layups, etc. I think the constant trips between NY and FLA was a bit much. Unfortunately, for us he was a regular source of transportation along the eastern corridor.
I will be back on the track tomorrow morning so wait for more lovely Finests early next week!
FM, thanks for letting me know all is well other than he is now a FL full time resident. I picked up Cuervo (aka Take Me Flying) at his Citra, FL farm - everything neat & tidy and all the horses there were in beautiful flesh. It is indeed too bad that he will no longer be transporting horses… he was great with Cuervo giving me regular updates on the phone. Cuervo looked fabulous when I got him.

Someone’s bringing home an FLF cutie today & if she doesn’t post soon, I’m going to die from anticipation.
Ahem…ahem…
I’m drooling over Pay The Judge…why does NY have to be so far away?

We know who the lucky horse is and who the lucky person is as well! But we will wait for this person to post here to share the good news.
I promised myself I would NOT open this thread this year. No $$ for another horse, but… What’s the scoop on Never Naked? I’m usually not a fan of redheads, but he’s quite the looker.
He’s one fine looking boy! If he’s that good looking at 3, he’s going to be a stunner in a few years, not to mention HUGE.

It’s not for lack of nagging on my part.
Why do I open these threads? Sigh…maybe I’ll win the powerball this week?
My fellow volunteer and I went to the track on Saturday and have many updates and a handful of new Finests to offer. The new listings should be up soon.
We visited Pay the Judge and Never Naked. All I can say is hubba hubba. Pay the Judge is a seriously nice horse and a bargain at the price.
One of Saturday’s offerings is a gorgeously conformed chestnut son of Point Given who looks a lot like his sire. He is his owner’s pet but is ready to let him go on to bigger and better things. We also took glamour shots of a 7 y.o. dark bay mare who was Claimer of the Year two years ago. She was heavily dappled and very classy and sweet about her interview.
We visited with the owner/trainer of Dade City and Candomble. Dade is another one of the Finests that I’m bumping up because he is one of my faves and I just gotta’ do it! He has already been started over jumps and, aside from his handsome looks, is a dream of a mover.
I don’t want to steal anyone’s thunder but we did see one of my favorite Finests loaded up and on the way to his new eventing home…
Keep your eyes on our website for the latest.

The “scoop” on Never Naked is that his owner/trainer has received numerous calls, several of them from serious people. She is firm on the price. She is going to vet any prospective purchaser very carefully and do all that she can to make sure this stunning young horse winds up in the best of possible homes. In the meantime, he ran a close second last week, so she is likely to race him at least once more before letting him go. So if you are seriously interested, give her a call and join the contest! He is big, he is beautiful, he is level headed, he is a lover, and he is a stunning mover!
I wish I could afford to be serious! I’d be working a package deal on Pay the Judge and Never Naked!! Both of which would be keeping those names as show names- they’re GREAT!
