Had to share a few photos of my filly, Stormy pictured here at 10 weeks
Full sibling on the way in 2022! EH Herzensdieb/Aurelia NSF/Windfall
She’s lovely. And those ears make me feel all squishy inside. Congrats !!!
What a great achievement for your Sakitini to get the nicest foal. Congratulations!
OMG the EARS. I love her!
She sure has those Trakehner ears

Goodness Sheza makes beautiful babies! St. Patrick’s day seems to have really stamped his foals- leggy and athletic, love the hip on all three
Thanks! Yes Sheza’s foals are just lovely, I can count on her to stamp something nice.
I am really impressed with the SPD foals. We have 4 of them, and they are all really athletic, balanced, with great minds. They don’t quite have the front end of an AP Indy sireline (for sport), but they do have good engines. Temperaments are fantastic…all friendly, brave, go-with-the-flow, just super easy to work with. We didn’t breed back to him this year (went to KY stallions), and who knows how they will run…but they seem to have that super Pharoah character and are worth watching as future sport horses.
Really like what your Saketini is getting. You must be thrilled.
yes she does! I have a soft sport for those big-eared mares. She is a beauty!
@EventerAJ, since you have so many beautiful bay babies with stars, is it possible you wouldn’t notice if one disappeared to my farm one night??
BTW, @EventerAJ, I saw a recent Triple Crown feed add with a playful bay foal pictured. Wouldn’t happen to be one of yours?
Not unless someone stole a photo. I haven’t fed Triple Crown for several years. McCauleys is my preferred feed, but can be tough to get here in FL. We use Hallways or Buckeye ration balancer.
Just checking But your orphan has a twin out there. I actually saved the ad picture for the background of my work computer LOL
It’s hard to believe Etta will be three months old this week! She reminds me so much of her sister; I’m glad she sold quickly, because I’d have a hard time letting her go now otherwise.
Etta at three months versus Sydney at three years:
Well, it looks like it’s just about weaning time around here. Little miss Etta is 16.5 weeks old, and I had not planned to wean until 20 weeks. But Arielle has started denying her nursing privileges more and more regularly over the last couple of weeks and is starting to get pretty adament that she is just about DONE with her cheeky daughter. So I will start separating them during the day time next weekend and fully separate them after 1-3 weeks, depending on how that goes. They spend about 80% of their time in the pasture apart; I’m not anticipating too much drama.
I think it’s safe to say that Etta will be taller than her 13.2 dam, don’t you? Lol. I never get any ears/neck up photos of her, but she got her first glimpse of the neighbor’s guineas Wednesday morning and allowed me to finally snap this photo.
Great photo. Nothing like Guinea fowl to make a horse take notice.
oh lordy I can see why mom is DONE.
