I will be there! If anyone has an extra horse, I’d love to ride, but if not, I am happy to be a ground person!
ETBW, I think VTRider really wants to come with P.K., but she’s a little bit shy…perhaps you should start a whole new thread, getting everyone to convince her! She is, after all, QUEEN of the BB, and I think it only fitting that she be there, don’t you?!
Geesh… I GET THE HINT!

I really should make you beg… Do you KNOW what Mardi is going to do to me when I have to make his condo-sized stall smaller???
Email me and we’ll work it out.

Place…”
Here are some general directions and a map:
map
Coming from DC or points north (ie: maryland)
Basically you want to get on 495 until you see signs for the Dulles Toll Road (called 267)…Take the TOLL road, not the Airport “dulles access road” Your first toll will be 1.00 for a typical truck and trailer. Add .25 cents for a dually.
There are two exits you can take…The first one has Less lights, but no stores in case you need gas, food, beer etc. This is Monroe street, toward Reston. (off the exit and after the toll you go LEFT)
Stay straight until you see signs for Frying Pan Park. Follow signs (you will be making a right onto 608) and another right into Frying Pan park…Please see parking directions below!
You may also go down one additional exit on the toll road…this will bring you through a few more lights and stores and stuff…great for last minute ice-runs
You would take the CENTREVILLE road exit…after the toll make a LEFT.
Follow the signs to Frying Pan (about 3 miles up)
Do NOT turn on Frying Pan road…its a lie
Parking:
There is Ample parking at FPP, but the nicest setting is over on the cross country course. You can park all over by the ring, but if there is any breeze whatsoever you get really, really dusty. I suggest we park behind the indoor in front of the big ring. Just look for the RV…My truck and trailer will be there…Look for the Banged-to-hell Silver dodge (ahem…its PLATINUM) and a maroon bucket-o-rust two horse…
That’ll be me! I plan on getting there at 9:00 and staying till the cows come back home…

Does anyone have an extra? Large pony, horse, donkey - I don’t care, I just want to ride!
I am versatile, though - if there isn’t an extra horse, I’d be happy to hand out beer and other refreshments.
ARe you crying about not having a breeding contract with the studs? Or the stallions?
I’d personally sign a breeding contract with any one of them-thar Boniface boys
Wait…did I just write that out loud?

perhaps with the recent turmoil, we could sneak one itsy-bitsy romp in the human cloning pool past congress
Good Food, Nice People, Horsey AND libations…I think I may just weep
–My most accommodating strength is my willingness to humiliate myself
Talked to my pony taxi this am - and she will either bring her horse and ride with us (my vote - she’s a blast) or let me use the trailer myself.
I’ll have to bring something easy to cook - I’ll have my hands full with (as HN73 likes to call him) The Big Brown Couch.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate and I look forward to meeting you all. Now, where are those darn rust britches I love (literally) to school in… hmmmm.

Hey Erin! If you trailer on down, will the COTH give you a byline for reporting on the occasion?
A Social Event the likes of which has yet to be seen in print
I have a baby shower on the 6th in Richmond. The following weekend is a Sport Horse Breeding seminar both days.
Wow! I am getting booked up
I refuse to have any part of that Arrow-Head thing.
Good God, how do people JUMP those things?
Is anything going on that Sunday? (Besides our obviously more important meeting?)
I think I am going to cry!!!
I was sitting here reading this thread in the quickly dropping temps of NH and checking out the pics of the CC course, wishing my heart out I was a VA cliquer and could come!!
I then realized that I will be driving past you (sort of) the day before on the ride down to Charlotte for Sunday’s NASCAR race!!!
BOO HOO!! If only the gathering were Saturday I may have been able to convince my traveling companions to make a pit stop in VA!!
Have fun everyone!
I would love to go, as would Cressy, but we’d need to “hitch hike” with someone from near Fredericksburg…
What I do, I do for my horse, and thus I do for myself~me
Pretty soon we are going to have to make up a horse/rider list. I am getting confused!
I just know I am riding Pockets, right?
did someone say catch ride? looks up
I can always do pictures from the ground, I’ve got a good camera and a scanner.
Fairweather - yay! thank you so much!! Let me know whatever details you want to work out.
Well my horse is fast on the way to recovery, I’ll know more next week. Even if he’s not better I’ll come to catch loose horses in case anyone falls.
But I don’t think Colin will be flying in to hold the reins
Back up for those who missed this earlier!
