Again, since it is clear that you do not understand the rules, contact USEF. They have an email address, as does Safe Sport. If you ask them, they will answer your questions. It is not that hard to comprehend. EMAIL is not difficult.[/B]
There is no reason for you to be “seeing a grey area”.
You really don’t seem to get it, after all this time on this thread, with people trying to explain to you six ways from Sunday about the rules, that the fact is that banned members of USEF are not allowed to teach or instruct current members of USEF no matter where they are doing so.
Any USEF member that invites George Morris, or any other person that has been banned by Safe Sport for sexual misconduct with a minor (and thus is banned by USEF), should know that they are prohibited from hosting that banned person to teach at their facility. When they advertise their clinic as open to people 12 years old and up it is much the worse..
Whether it is willful ignorance combined with a nasty slap in the face to Safe Sport’s mission to protect minors from abuse in sport, or just unbelievable stupidity .http://persimmontreefarm.com/clinic.html there is no excuse. The information is out there. If you are to lazy to learn I hope it comes back to bite you.
Honestly, if you can’t understand the rules by reading the information provided by USEF and SafeSport, you should contact them directly and they will answer your questions. I am not “important” to them yet they have answered my emails and addressed my concerns.
Please do contact them if you are actually considering hosting a person that has been banned for life for sexually abusing a child, or before defending someone who asks people to pay to have their 12 year old and up kids taught by this person.
Pretty horrified at the thought that some of these people actually have children and see no problem with paying $950. for 3 days to expose their kid to a banned child abuser.
Why the denial and willful ignorance continues, at the expense of young people’s safety and mental health, is beyond me.
I assume this is so because SafeSport has dictated these rules to the USEF. The USEF, as the “trade organization” of the horse show world is the one that has the teeth/ability to sanction its members or not.
But I don’t think that the USEF gets to interpret nor decide the Safesport rules handed down to it. Or it can, but then it can’t be the organization that covers an Olympic sport.
Given the mission of SafeSport-- to protect potential victims, not so much to punish established perpetrators, and the whole “perp signs over his gym to his relative and keeps teaching/perping there without a hiccup” why would you think these rules were limited to what goes on at sanctioned events only?
You can’t convince anyone reading these rules that yours is an honest and neutral question until you answer this question about what informs your interpretation of those rules’ language.
why are you even talking about hunters and doped horses? Why are you and another poster singling out hunter riders suggesting that discipline spin off into their own? What on earth does that have to do with GM Clinic? Don’t you think that being a former chef d’equipe for USEF SHOW JUMPING that his clinics attracted SJ and event riders as well as hunter and eq riders.
Doping horses isn’t a practice specific to hunters. And, for the record I don’t condone and never drugged a horse I’ve competed.
That doesn’t mean it was edited by a human at all.
it could be a file compression, a move to the final folder location for publication, an automated content update.
If someone wants to organize a clinic featuring a clinician who has been banned by SS, and everyone involved is indifferent to any sanctions that come their way as a result of participating … what then?
Perhaps there are people who just don’t care what SS/USEF does to them for hosting/attending such a clinic. Maybe the possibility of receiving a scolding letter or even a temporary suspension doesn’t bother them. If suspended, they will serve it out and then go back to what they were doing before. Maybe they will even proudly brag to each other what sanctions came their way. Maybe they think that having sanctions applied to them personally are worth it for whatever good they expect from the clinic.
Sanctions won’t matter if people don’t care if they get them or not. Some people may not care.
The “United States Equestrian Federation” is “united” in name only. Not everyone is rowing in the same direction, on this and many other issues.
Finalized means that the user of the Adobe Acrobat software, in this case the Acrobat PDF Maker plug-in for Word 10.1 running on an ancient - apparently Windows XP, given the versions of the software used to make the documents and the release dates of that software - Dell computer that was used by Morris Krome, has completed the creation of the PDF and readied it for distribution. The Adobe Acrobat software that I used to view the documents shows the above information in the document properties.
The guy who does their web stuff is a low-level professional - not even amateur by today’s standards - whose skills and abilities correspond with someone who did low-end computer jobs in the 80’s and 90’s, which is also shown on his resume, and his work does not reflect the use of anything fancy like automated content updates. His websites all resemble the sort of work you’d put out with a “Make Your Own Website Kit” that came on three CD’s back in the late 90’s and early 2000’s - a few rungs above the average GIF-infested GeoCities page made by a teenager back then - and is a big step back from the Krome’s previous business website design, which was at least in-line with the basic design standards of the times and had Adobe Flash. As they say, you get what you pay for and they clearly didn’t pay much for that guy’s work.
Ummmm…just so you’re aware Aachen hosts a lot of csis, like the csi 3* this past weekend. It wasn’t cancelled. Lots of csis are taking place in Europe and have been for a couple months now.
Also, the hunter contingent has been agitating to break off and form their own independent organization for some time. This predates safe sport. I’m surprised you haven’t heard it discussed before.
FWIW this is super funny cause it’s equal parts smugness and wrongness, and very aptly proves my point about the disconnect between the hunter contingent and the actual federation sport
And that was true way back in the day when the AHSA’s limited sanctions made it possible for Barney Ward to send horses to show grounds and Paul Valliere to still make a living. As I understand it, Valliere still owns a farm in Grand Prix Village, next to what is arguably the most lucrative show grounds in the US.
That may have flown when the victims were horses and not children, and in the 1980s when a certain callousness of establishment elites was more tolerated. But I don’t think that in this post Larry Nassar age and where the victims are strong, articulate human victims, the USEF will be able to look the other way. The USEF might not have the desire or political will to police situations like this. But SafeSport and Congress are held to higher standards by the larger watching public.
Yes this is entirely the problem, because it’s primarily a group of people who could give two ducks about the ability of US riders to compete internationally, the only real endgame that exists.
He was definitely mean muggin at Persimmon Tree Farm. There’s no way anyone can claim he was in Southern Pines, Wellington, or anywhere else but there.
