We have some seriously generous folks on COTH. Dribble received from cloudyandcallie, farmgirl598, bathsheba8542, littleum, and Lori B! So sweet! I know this girl will probably need coggins pulled, and I am waiting to hear back on whether or not she even has a halter for this girl. So excited to get her out and home, I will definitely have my camera on hand when we move her!

Oh wow I forgot about halter and lead rope. Drat, I have an extra leather halter too. (Hattie just got her first new halter ever thanks to the VTO leap day sale announcement on coth.)
And maybe we all could be the “Syndicate to Save (name of mare)?” or something cooler than that? If Bluengrey wants to give her her barn name, that’s great. Or we could have a contest, with everyone paying a dollar or two, to name her. More money for her expenses which will be considerable. Or maybe “syndicate of cothers saving (X)?” SOCS_
I’m going with Ginger (from Black Beauty). She was always my favorite horse while all the other girls wanted Beauty or the Black Stallion. And she was chestnut. Altho she did not end up well in the end. So maybe a better name with a happy ending in life? Harmony was a chestnut, but he was a gelding.
How about Many Animal Friends In Association? Or, “MAFIA” LOL.

I think I have PM’d everyone who has asked so far…please let me know if I have missed you. And everyone keeps apologizing for not sending “much” but together it becomes a lot and we are well on our way to everything this girl needs…ransomed, halter, coggins, vet care, feed. You guys not only shouldn’t be apologizing for the size of your donations, but bragging on helping!!! It is overwhelming how wonderful COTH folks hour in the darkest hour of this girl’s need.

I still remember oh so well the story of the COTH Christmas Pony and that special time when COTHers banded together to save a kind soul, so my donation is in honor of Tim and those who helped save him.

Looks like I missed everything. Day late and a dollar short…
I’m just down the road and if anyone needs an extra hand, whether it’s for assisting with loading, trailering, inspecting, etc, just holler. My schedule is open.
I don’t do PayPal and after being burned by some folks on this BB I’m no longer contributing to causes posted on COTH threads. Since the new owner works with Peiedmont Equine perhaps I can work directly with the owner and our vet.

It was a mild winter and it’s quite possible the mare is in good body condition, just needs some TLC.

I’m in for 50!! Where do I send it? I’ve also been going thru all my stuff for the last few months and have lots of extras lol. I was planning on donating some stuff to a local rescue and I would like to help this mare too. I have extra blankets of various weights and sizes so hopefully I have something that will fit her:). I also have extra halters and lead ropes if that would help.

Yes has the trailering been finalized as yet? The coth posse rolls up and loads old mare and off she goes to her new home. This will be great!
And now she has lots of blankets to choose from. A girl can never have too many blankets, turnout and stable.!:lol:
I am standing by to trailer Thursday afternoon and Liberty has offered to ride shotgun. I haven’t heard from anyone if anything is set or if someone can pick her up earlier. Someone just let me know!
