I just sent $25 via PayPal and sent a PM with PayPal name, email and my COTH name. No wonder I’m not sure who I really am sometimes.
Thanks for doing this!

Caesar just sent a dribble from his allowance. He thinks this senior lady deserves to be as spoiled as he is, if even for a few hours or days. (Thanks C&C for the PayPal info!)
Thanks to all who are helping with this rescue. Fingers crossed for Maresy to be healthy enough for some happy days under her new syndication/management. If she isn’t…well then at least we will have helped her over the Bridge with kindness and dignity.
Hi again,
It was very nice to me meet a lil gray. The residents really have nothing to complain about here. I do have a 4 horse Hawk so I can pick up on Saturday. I don’t want to put anyone out. I have had zero contact with the owner and I don’t have a PayPal account. So if trailering is the only issue I can get her on Saturday AM with the assistance of a lil gray. Does anyone know exactly where the horse is? I am just a little concern about getting in and out or having to load on the street. Just some thoughts passing through my brain. My work schedule is a little wacky, so the quickest I can get there is Sat. AM.
Kim
This may have already been addressed in between my last log in around lunch and tonight, and I didn’t really read all the entries in between. But I checked the FAQs on Paypal. Fees are charged if 1) its marked as a purchase, or 2) even if marked as a gift if the funds are coming from a charge card. It can be avoided by sending the money as a gift and if the funds come from a bank account.

Sheeeessh. Paypal has way too many arcane rules and ways of snagging a cut. :no:
I didn’t know there was a difference in using a credit card, I strictly use a bank account.
AH is me
I’m late to the party but I’d love to dribble in, too… can someone PM me the details of how to do this? Thanks!
You guys rock!

Awesome, thank you!! I’m just looking for the person with initials JF that donated 20 and hasn’t been acknowledged yet.
The other dribbles I have received tonight are from:
EqTrainer, pony4me, willowmeadow, ndirish07, piaffe11, 2jakes, onthebit, and henryisblaisin’.
So excited, and I am tallying up the total right now! Hope you all are sitting down because right now we are at…
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
$905!!!
:winkgrin::winkgrin::winkgrin::winkgrin::winkgrin::winkgrin::winkgrin::winkgrin::winkgrin:
36 people have sent dribble, and every penny counts! Then we have those that have offered blankets, transportation, and of course from BluenGrey a HOME!
I can’t wait to get this finished and get pictures out to all of you.
Now, we do need to discuss the amount of funds above and beyond ransom, vet, gas for the trailering party, and maybe some gas for me. Please make sure I know what the group consensus is for any leftover $$. Personally I would think we should give it to BnG for future care of said mare/euthanization. If anyone else had other ideas PLEASE speak up
Seriously, I have tears in my eyes. In one day we have raised almost a thousand dollars to help this girl get a new home.
Just. Awesome.
Well I have never used a charge card, always marked them as gift and have always been asked if I was paying the fee or the recipient… so much for their “rules”

Just, on Ms. Mare’s behalf, THANK YOU ALL!!!

That is amazing! I can’t wait to see the pictures and results of everyone coming together on this!
I definitely agree with this

Sent mine with the notation to be used for whatever that can help this mare, or the next horse in need if the owners flake and won’t give her up.

I am in utter shock and really proud of this board.
And I hope the owner can’t see this. Isn’t that terrible of me?
Edited to add that I have no preference as to how my dribble specifically gets used, just so long as it ends up going to what the mare needs most. If it looks like she’s healthy and has some time, lets deck her out with whatever she needs at Blue’s. For the chunk left over, a nest egg for Blue for the mares care is perfect. I can’t believe how kind and generous she and her SO are being in taking this gal in sight unseen.
If she doesn’t have any time left, and she gets picked up and loved for a few days and is bid adieu and there are left over funds, if we want to donate it to a reputable rescue that’s fine with me as long as it’s a rescue we all agree on. Or if people feel like finding another horse in need, it can go there too. I’m easy. Just really happy that we might be able to make a difference for this girl. To have this many hearts in the right place all at once is truly inspiring.

Nope, I don’t think it’s terrible at all.
Newbie here (long time stalker), but this is amazing. Thank you, kudos and nice work to everyone who made this happen for this deserving mare. I can’t contribute, but I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
We are at $940 now with donations from fargaloo, and 5!
If there is money left over, I would vote for getting the mare a really good vet checkup-get a new Coggins drawn, spring shots, and check her teeth and float if necessary, anything else needed. Unless, of course, she’s not doing well; then I would say let’s make sure she gets the peaceful end she deserves. If there is any leftover after a thorough vetting, let’s make sure BnG has plenty of good quality feed and bedding for her, and give the rest for her continued upkeep.
This is so cool, and heartwarming that funds have been raised to give this old mare either a new lease on life, or a peaceful end. I am sorry I am tapped out from other recent donations to worthy rescue causes, but am sending good vibes and positive thoughts instead of $ because they always come in handy too!
