Okay, I agree with don’t piss off the seller and let’s just get this girl out of there and “Home.”
I can check out Bluengrey’s farm tomorrrow AM. I would be happy to do so. If someone will PM me an address, I will meet her there at whatever time works for her, with a camera if COTHERS would like pics or not if my word will do.
My paypal works fine, I would be happy to collect the funds and bring cash to the sellers and the rest to Bluengrey for feed/euth/whatever and Carolprudm to cover her gas/time/food, if COTH wisdom trusts me to do so…I can promise you I’ve never scammed anyone online and the funds will go wherever y’all want them to go. Just make a note on your donation what part of this you want your $$ to cover, whether it is for purchase price, Carol’s fuel/time/food, euth/feed, whatever. I will make a public accounting of what came in and where it went.
I am also happy to bring my hubby and to meet Carolprudm at the seller’s farm on Saturday to help load/ensure they aren’t serial killers and follow her over to Bluengrey’s farm to help unload or whatever is needed.
Please let me know if you guys would like my help and I will gladly do whatever I can. I very much want this mare to have an easy last bit of her life, even if it is short. Unfortunately I can’t do the trailering myself. 
If someone can trailer/pick up earlier than Saturday, I am available pretty much any time except weds morning, after 12 would be fine. The rest of the week I am open, and would be willing to meet at seller’s place in Opal and follow to Remington for the drop off.
As offered earlier, I am more than happy to accompany/meet up with whomever goes to get this mare. I’m available any day/any time this week, including Saturday (and I agree w/alittlegray, or whoever said, that the sooner the better).
OK if all you guys will PM each other and can contact the owner, and get the mare soonest, that would be great.
And yes, alittlegrey, if you will collect the money (mindful that someone will say you didn’t turn it all over, that always happens!) and pay expenses and pay for mare (if necessary) and everything that would be great.

I’m going to PM everyone my cell # so that if things look bad (that is, if mare is absolutely a goner) I will take full responsiblity for the euth-ing. I think there will be enough money to cover expenses and to give the balance to Bluengrey to get the mare into shape or to euth her if she doesn’t get any better.
So alittlegrey and others, people decide up there, and then give us the paypal to send $ to. I can do it tonight or tomorrow morning or whenever.

BluenGrey has open barn doors, approval pending tomorrow AM by alittlegray, who has also opened her paypal account to the donations.
Carolprudm offered to trailer the mare. Liberty offered to ride shotgun and assist with loading. Carol offered Saturday, so that needs to be sorted out among all three parties (owner, trailering folks, BNG).
Kimball56 offered to be the back-up trailer person if needed. Liberty is willing to ride back-up for Kimball as well.
Kimball56, are you able to pick her up before Saturday?
I agree with CandC, one person should handle the transaction/owner contact. A shotgun rider is also a fabulous idea. If Kimball and Liberty can pick her up tomorrow, do either of you have a paypal account so you can get the purchase money, or should all of the donations be sent to alittlegray?

ETA - Perhaps meeting up before getting to the mare’s location would be best, so it doesn’t look like a posse is being arranged??

Oh, and I agree with meeting up in the town of Opal before going to the seller’s place. That way everyone is on the same page going in.

I think whoever is available to pick her up needs to contact them with their intention of purchasing her, TODAY. That way they know someone will buy her and they won’t pawn her off on someone else.
Perhaps filling them in on the village pool AFTER the mare is bought and loaded would be best?

OK so if alittlegrey will PM Bluengrey to get the address, they can meet there between 10:30am and 1pm tomorrow.
Then someone needs to go pay for mare and get a bill of sale. And either transport Saturday by Carolprudm or earlier if someone else can do it. Always take someone with you when answering a craigslist ad or going into any place, rural or city. Safety first.

Perhaps Liberty or alittlegray, even though they can’t trailer the mare, could contact the seller and arrange a meeting?
Once it’s confirmed that A. The mare is still available B. Sellers will agree to sale, then maybe they can put down a deposit, get the bill of sale, and coordinate with trailer volunteers?
I think before the Paypal transfer frenzy begins, someone should contact the owners, just in case someone else snatched her up.
I have no problem posting papal add once we can confirm mare is still available. I will email owner and check. I will also pm bng for directions to her place, and plan on stopping by tomorrow if she is OK with that. I will post an update as soon as mare owner gets back to me.

I couldn’t find the mare on DC craigslist last night. Is she still on there?
She might be in her 20s. TB mares look terrible when they are starved. Then once they get some groceries, hot spirited mare appears.
