How about a matchy matchy fashion show thread?

HA! You’re welcome!

O…M…G… this is going to be FABULOUS! I cannot wait to see pics of the whole ensemble

I promise to share, but don’t laugh me out of house and home when you see it’s a jumping saddle on a dressage saddle pad. My guy doesn’t have a dressage saddle that fits him - not for lack of trying. :joy:

I’d love to see the looks wearing those to the grocery store.

The green is fab! I would say I’m holding off on the matchy stuff, but as I type this I’m working away on customizing some brushing boots. Photos to follow if I don’t bungle this too badly.

Their emerald color is GORGEOUS in person. You will love it.

This is what it looks like in real life  I think I have all their shades of green now, and it is my favorite!

My horse and I finally did our first (schooling) show together recently and we went with the mint green look. Not the greatest photo, but I used a Mrs. Ros mint green saddle pad with black binding and sparkly piping and then I wore a mint green striped seersucker button-down shirt to match. It was our first dressage show together and he was perfect. He went to one a year ago with my trainer and had a bit of a meltdown, so I was a little nervous about how he’d be this time. Clearly, he must have been so good because my matching efforts were so “on point.”

@JenEM Omg beautiful and I love your top! I was just eyeballing Dover, wondering if they even have anything in that color scheme.

I was very matchy-matchy tonight for my XC lesson! It counts as as dressage if you wear a dressage pad, right? :joy: Set is LeMieux and shirt is AA. SO caught these photos for me:

Is that the blue bell? Or ice blue? Looks great! How was your lesson?!

Will it tell you on the tag somewhere? I’m honestly not sure - it was a gift. It’s several years old at this point if that helps. I’d say of the two photos the one by the trailer is more faithful to what it looks like to my eye. It’s a very light blue. My lesson was great! Holden saved my bacon in a few spots, I really need to pick up yoga or something. You got any new pads to add to the collection this year??

@beowulf, the top is an RJ. It also nicely coordinates with the LeMieux sage, just FYI  It’s from last season so you may find it on sale somewhere, which is always the best kind of matchy–bargain matchy.

There’s a reason I don’t wear beige breeches to the grocery store anymore :rofl:

What is the Mrs. Ros pad like? I saw some I really liked but had never heard of them, so wasn’t sure what the quality and construction would be like.

Love the mint, glad you had a good show!

Most likely the ice blue then! It doesn’t say on the tag sadly.

I’m trying to figure out XC colours for my dressage horse who is going to do a little Eventing. Once I figure it out it’s time for some more matchy sets :joy:

Any link to that shirt? I love the sage.

How could we laugh at anyone brave enough to wear leopard print breeches?

Just for you, I will dig out the leopard print everything this weekend and see if I can get a photo. :joy:

Pretty sure it’s this one, in “mallard”:
R.J. Classics Ladies’ Sienna 37.5® Training Shirt | Dover Saddlery

If it exists in that color places, it usually is on sale. It’s a little bit heavier weight than the typical sunshirt.

ETA: go for the leopard print Buckwilds! They’re very comfortable and have a good cell phone pocket. I have them with the peacock print. Which yes, matches the emerald pad

Thank you! It was a huge relief and an even bigger confidence booster. Not to mention a definite lesson about learning to trust the training.

The Mrs. Ros pad is really lovely and I honestly think it’s the prettiest saddle pad I own. I haven’t used it an awful lot but so far, it has washed up well and seems to be holding up. For that, I’m thrilled because I do sometimes worry about the sturdiness of pads that seem more pretty rather than functional. The underside is white and is kind of a waffle-type of pattern if that helps. Here are some good online photos of the exact pad I used. Hopefully, that helps a little; I would definitely buy another one.
