Ooooh pretty!
For those of you with those beautiful colored pads - how do you prevent discoloration from boot black or tack?
Dawn Power Wash on the stain and hand-wash the area - gets rid of all the black marks. Then just throw in the washer.
My favorite saddle pad now has a matching browband. Are ES pads legal to show in, or does the little logo thing disqualify them?
That pad is stunning on your horse! I think they’re in the process of clarifying rules on pad logos, but I think I’ve read here of someone just putting tape over the badge to be safe. There are those mini rolls of duct tape that come in tons of colors, so you might be able to find a decent match. FWIW, I was at a small rated show this weekend and someone who I very much doubt was sponsored, was showing in a pad that had BATES embroidered in large letters, and I’ve definitely seen people showing in ES pads without the brand plate covered up.
I take them to the car wash and use their power washer, works great! And for any that don’t come out that way, some Shout (either the stain stick or the spray) and then wash at home in my washer.
The did eventually clarify! Any logo not exceeding 50 sq. cm is legal

If you aren’t able to get rid of the stain entirely, the saddle and boots will fall at the same place next ride and cover the stain
Stunning!
I scotchgard the outsides of mine, they wash out much better!
Your horse is beautiful, what is he?

I had the Buckwild leopard breeches and wore them when running errands before/after the barn. I got nothing but compliments.
Not sure whether it’s matchy matchy but I love it.
Brown bridle and saddle and my fav eskadron saddle pad with Papaya colored piping
I would say that qualifies as matchy-matchy!
Apparently I don’t have a matchy-matchy bone in my body.
Bridle has purple crystal on the browband. I did not order that color pad but it is what I got (it was a close-out). Bright green hoof boots in front and dark green boots in back. Who the heck knows what I was wearing…probably purple .

Golden Brass is the one that started me down the very slippery slope of ‘too many saddlepads’.
