How about a matchy matchy fashion show thread?

My DH ordered my red jumping pad from Dover – and had it monogrammed with my initials. (They have a large number of options for this.)

It was actually a complete surprise! A box from Dover came in the mail and he innocently asked: “did you order something?” “Well, no” I said, and when I opened the package I was (pleasantly) amazed :flushed::blush::heart:

I think black boots look great with brown because now your basically a bay horse!

I’m in the same boat; dressage days (of infamy) are well in the rear-view mirror and I content myself with bear-bells as the only bling my gaited trail horse gets. But oh these photos are amazing!

Consider a burgundy for your bright bay - someone up in this thread had the total burgundy/bay look and I could not stop staring at them - so gorgeous. But really, I can’t think of a color I wouldn’t want for a bright bay. Except maybe orange. You have so many choices!

FWIW. Ogilvy Equestrian offers a variety of pads that you can customize by choosing the size and base color, trim and binding. I think I counted 18 different base colors for one pad, 36 colors for binding, and 44 colors for piping. You can do single or double piping, and choose different colors for each. You can also see an image of your pad as you pick your colors. It’s a lot of fun to play around with different color combinations.

I had them make a navy friction free pad with baby blue piping and navy binding, and a navy memory foam half pad with baby blue binding. I also found a crocheted navy ear bonnet somewhere (Dover?) that had baby blue trim, and used navy or baby blue polos. It all looked great on my bright chestnut with chrome (pic posted upthread). And we (trainer and I) often completed the look by wearing navy breeches and a light blue shirt.

A friend got this pad from Ogilvy for her very white Arabian gelding that she sometimes rides in parades. She said he looked smashing in it. She completed the look by wearing dark indigo blue jeans with a bright red shirt.

The ogilvy pads are also some of my favorites for schooling, they hold up, are easy to wash, and look nice.

You know what happens while waiting for the rain to stop on a Sunday and thinking of an upcoming clinic?

Yes, I just bought this pad and polo set, and a pair of (hopefully) matching Montar olive breeches. Now I need help finding a shirt that coordinates with the binding. I’m planning to wear it to my next clinic at the end of the month, so I need long sleeves and not super lightweight/mesh type. I don’t really have coordinating boots, so it will be my polished chestnut Celeris boots with black trim and a black helmet. It looks like the binding color is called Celadon, but they don’t carry a shirt that color.

Lovely colors!

Ariat has a quarter-zip Lowell shirt in a color called Silver Pine that might match:

and PS of Sweden has a base=layer shirt that they call Khaki Green but it looks more like celadon to me (at least in the photo):

And then, if you want to go a little wilder with a print, there’s this:

Ooh, that last one is pretty! If I’m going to spend $90 on a shirt, might as well make it count  . I swung by TJMaxx and found an Adidas short sleeve polo about the color of the second one, so I’ve got something for warm weather. I’ll definitely keep that one in mind if something a little less expensive doesn’t come along.

I like some color, so I would go with teal or turquoise. Hunter green would also look nice and is a bit more subdued.

I think I’ve found a winnah! I found a plain long sleeve that looks like a really close match, but this is more fun. I’ll try to get pics at the clinic!

If you haven’t bought Arista before, be aware that they run a little snug. I’m a S in most shirts, but buy a M in Arista.

My Lagoon Blush set came in (with a blue hair tie)! I didn’t get breeches since I’m so hard on them and usually just wear leggings unless I’m going to a lesson.

(I have two Equestrian Stockholm bags FULL of saddle pads because I have a problem)

I feel like roaning changes the tone or value of the color significantly. I was riding past one of the red roans at my barn, and his ears were an exact match for my chestnut mare. But his roan body chestnut hairs mixed with white was a completely different weight of color, if that makes sense. Like red and pink don’t go with the same colors. So there’s not an automatic assumption that what looks good on solid base color horse will look good on a roan or appaloosa with the same base color. He looked more pinkish and less golden teak than my mare.

Oooo yes new colors for Ogilvy! Exciting! They had much fewer base colors when I got my pads in I think 2016?
