How about a matchy matchy fashion show thread?

Love it! And your horse is gorgeous. The L looks like it fits well. I’d be worried the XL would hang lower & your browband would cover the emblem.

Thank you all for the input! I feel reassured that I’m not a total matchy failure for choosing this bonnet.

I think it looks great and agree that the L looks good. Also, can we just take a moment to appreciate the hind leg action on that big beautiful chestnut!?

Hey, there are some things you can control more than others! You can always start out looking like a winner.

I have a somewhat dumb question. I was at a schooling show last weekend and someone was dressed to the nines, you could really tell they combed and cleaned every square surface of their horse. They had the cutest pearls in each braid - something like below:

Is that legal for USEF/USEA/USDF? It really pulled the whole outfit together - the horse was a palomino, with a pearl browband, and the rider was wearing a maroon show coat and had pearl insets on her riding boots.

That’s what I like today. If things go pear shaped, at least we can look good doing it.

Love the burgundy!

Those pearls are lovely! Giving me ideas since I have a pearl browband.

I don’t think they are allowed. The 2024 booklet says no braiding with “bling”. I think those are super tasteful though!

I believe @MapleFarm is correct. Here’s the current rules language (bolding mine). You can check to be sure - my take is they would fall into “extravagant items”.

It’s a great look though!

Mane, tail and body. Braiding of the horse’s mane and tail is permitted. False tails are permitted, but a false tail may not contain any metal parts, except hooks. Decoration of the horse with extravagant items, such as ribbons, flowers or glitter in the mane, tail, or on the body, including hooves, is prohibited.

Has anyone seen the new Equestrian Stockholm set in coral? I’m really not usually a pink person, but this set is really catching my eye - unfortunately they always use filters so I can’t get a read on how it looks in reality!

Matt Harnacke has it on his bay horse I just saw, who may be a similar bright/reddish bay like mine… It doesn’t look half bad I think, but again, hard to tell with the filter :crazy_face:

My bay for reference:

Originally intended to go with a true emerald green to compliment the red/orange in her coat, but something in me is yearning for something a bit more unusual!

Maybe I just need both…

Get both, but I’m also a bad influence when it comes to these types of things.

Look up thread - I did the LM Sorbet on my chestnut mare and I think we pulled it off. Farther back, last year, we have a peach set going on. I think the set you posted is kind of in between the two. I say if you like it, go for it!

And as far as peach goes, the new Montar Peach jacket is gorgeous!

If anyone wants to see my insane collection, feel free to message me and I will give you my instagram where I post my horse and her different saddle pads. I did post my new ES Sycamore pad on there.

Please post pics of what you end up getting! I have a similar bright bay. I’ve been sticking with black but would also like to branch out. I’ve thought a dark plum/purple might work but still looking for the right one (preferably on sale :joy:)

The pic I posted several months ago of these Romfh breeches and PSOS Elite pad was kind of dark. Wore it today for my clinic since I didn’t think the clinician would appreciate anything too obnoxious. I think tomorrow will be kind of a brown/black/white theme. I really need to get some nice dark brown breeches!
