Mine just arrived in Groton MA and boy are they annoyed at me for daring to go into my barn! Apparently, they think I built it for them. Love seeing them!

FINALLY saw my first swallow in my barn tonight!
I never knock the nests down, but this year a ballsy sparrow has coopted one.
Should be interesting watching the eviction…
A couple showed up last week, then we got a cold snap and I didn’t notice any for a few days.
Tonight they were back.
The weather is starting to warm up here in Southern Ontario, and I’m eagerly anticipating the return of our barn swallow population! Has anyone had their barn swallows already arrive?
In the PNW and don’t have any yet.

Haven’t arrived yet in Snohomish county.
I’ve seen a couple, maybe three swooping in and out of the barn…checking things out. The full-force has yet to arrive. central Missouri
Thankfully the flies are just beginning to hatch and weakly crawl and lowly fly
a few butterflies, a few smaller moths… So essentially, no food to feed them all quite yet.
