Yeah. I hear the REAL Amwrider is stuck in a tree somewhere, fast asleep. This person is really a Nigerian scam artist who has stolen the real Amwrider’s COTH login to string us along so she can get us to donate money to support her “ailing uncle”.

Okay. So what we need to do is string the scammer along. Let’s write a long response, and say, pretend we are a not for profit organization that supports Uncles. But let’s let the FBI in on this so they can nail the scammer at the end.
You really need to scan the check so that we may partake of its delights. Before you off yourself, please.

It is an Italian postmark from Bologne Italy. He is in Belgium, his wife is in Italy, his brother Steve is in Tampa.

I love the thread but thought I’d comment to this (my mom’s entire side of the family is in Italy, including my second (or third?) cousin who goes to university in Bologna)- It’s a real place, looks like knights in shining armor could ride around and would totally fit in with the architecture, and the region is famous for their excellent foods.

Has anyone actually heard of the CitizensBank? I see that someone has posted a link to their website. The reason I ask is that their logo is actually the logo of the Royal Bank of Scotland!!! Maybe they are connected…or are they a made up bank too?

They are a real bank with branches all over Western New York, and probably beyond as they bought out another bank a few years ago and it is the logo they use. I have no idea if they are connected to the RB of S.
