Maryland 5 s5tar just mentioned they aren’t doing this jog, only the first. Someone is broadcasting on FB, but it is spotty.
It just totally cut out
That’s one of the dumber FEI rules I’ve heard.
The Maryland 5* page reported that all 5* horses passed the jog!
Are there any replays of individual rides from XC anywhere?
The live stream makes it sound like there’s a lot of chatter in the stands!
Where are you seeing a live stream?
Does anybody know if there are replays of the XC to watch? Doesn’t have to be individual rides, I’d like to see the entire stream from yesterday
Same link as above.
Well, I had to wait almost 24 hours for the replay to load, but I finally got to see CC!
So many nice horses out there:
Stella Artois
There was a big grey with a huge jump and stride early on
Bolytair B
Indy 500 cute as a button and so much run
On Cue was just lovely
Lauren and Patrick - what a team!
This is the first I’ve ever heard Oliver Townend speak. I didn’t know he was Northern. At first I thought he was going to veer straight Brummie, but no. I’m guessing Yorkshire? What a charming guy and nicely humble, noting that there was a lot to go.
Big differences in fitness. Some looked so tired, especially among the first group to go. Others were full of run to the end.
Holy moly, that sky tho. I was expecting a house to fall on a witch in the background there at the end. What great luck and good planning to move things up.
H&C is saying no SJ until 6PM local time, is that correct?
Watch all of it on USEF. There is a free Fan membership code on the site. Dead simple.
1 pm US Eastern, 6 pm UK.
(That was OT on his best behaviour !)
Ah, thanks. Starting SJ at 6 PM in October on a Sunday made no damn sense!
OT - is he usually more…colourful? If he was putting on the charm, it worked for this first-time viewer!!
What do you have at your booth?
How’s the weather today? Has it cleared up completely?
I have not searched exhaustively, but it seems to me that the Equiratings folks have not mentioned the Maryland 5* at all. No speculation, no stats, no fantasy play in Eventing Manager. Anybody know what’s up with that?
I’m so glad the weather has been almost perfect!!
What a beautiful weekend.
For the 3*, Kurt Martin lead from start to finish with DA Lifetime, Hannah Sue Burnett was second on Carsonstown, and Ollie Townend was third with his catch ride Ulises, also finishing on his dressage score.
I told DH to sell the house and get me Clarence. That big grey mare is fabulous. I want to know everything about her backstory. I know the owner got her 2 years ago from Germany, but that’s all.
