Presumably the unjust enrichment was based on her claim to ownership of the stallion and his alleged increase in value… not to whether she was paid for training rides
Ohhhh, it’s the Canadian Olympic team silly. That’s why you weren’t aware. They have considered US citizens before, there’s one near me in Ky…or was that the one in Indiana?
I get busy for a few days and this thread diverges down another siding yet again, into court proceedings. I nominate this trainwreck to go into the archives as a favorite.
And thanks to all who posted related links in the last couple of days, going to go back and read those…is that 2008 thread the first appearance of BUB? Wish I had time now to read it all. But looking forward to it when we lose the weather next week.
There was never any claim to ownership. She claimed that she had an open ended lease and that the owners were being unjustly enriched by taking ownership of the asset. Problem being her lease had expired and she had been paid for the training so the owners had received the benefit of what they paid for.
to me no matter how loquacious the testimony the documents are pretty clear, the lease was over and the expenses had been paid.
I realize that’s ultimately the proven truth in court but per AH’s rambling blog postings her position was that the owner eventually gave the stallion to her. She says all kinds of stuff if you poke around (some internally inconsistent)
A couple of things. “Darth Vador”
Also, I wonder if anyone bid on that stallion she was auctioning off? That was… interesting.
Is George Morris Darth Vader in this analogy…? I tried to read for comprehension, but this blog is something else.
One thing I just don’t get with her whole “blackball” hypothesis, is how can someone’s performance at show jumping be hindered? I mean of all the Olympic equestrian sports, it’s the most objective. It’s not like she’s got horses just kicking a$$, doing well in the rankings, and then she’s not being selected for high performance squads. As far as I can tell, she’s putting in average rides (lots of rails and time faults). So unless people are somehow manipulating the clock and magically dropping poles in the ring, her claims have no merit.
I’m wondering if he sold too. The auction was in October. Kind of strange that the owner would be running the bidding, that doesn’t sound right.
Must… not… look…!!!
I would love to be a fly on the wall when whoever she contacted at USEF reads her accusations against GM
‘‘If you were born in to the right family in the right location, have the right trust fund behind you, and are willing to bow down to him, no questions asked; then yes, he’s a great guy to have on your team. But does that make it OK for him to destroy a career, encourage others to destroy multiple horse’s prospective careers, which is what he has attempted and sometimes accomplished with me and my animals at every turn?’’, I like this paragraph.
By telling to stewards to “harass” her at show grounds, scaring off prospective buyers for her ingeniously-bred RID/Akhal-Teke cross Olympic prospects, and by convincing her past clients to not only stop speaking to her, but to also stop competing horses they bought from her.
I wouldn’t doubt he’s installed rigged rails at all the venues in the country so he can push a button remotely and make them drop. I mean, what else does he have to do with his time?
I had to stop reading after the first paragraph. Does that woman not proof read anything?
Per the Facebook page -
Ace of Heart’s online auction was extended this am for another day (as all bidders were informed this was a possibility). There have been a couple of very recent conversations with some exciting possible homes, and I’d like to give these folks some time to get everyone on board and involved. Here’s an old favorite of mine I’m pretty sure I haven’t shared before … Cradilo in the Prix de Lexington in 2007.
That’s all that has been posted however.
From the auction plug, it sounds like she doesn’t care who Ace of Hearts goes to, as long as they have the credentials of FB or webpage. What a POW. Anyone know who the second Cradilo stallion is?
You’ve convinced me that BUB is for realz, and that an exorcism might be in order. Does anyone remember the scene, early in the movie, when Regan (Linda Blair) is in bed, snuggling with her mother, and she asks, “Oh Mom, can’t we get a horse?” When denied, things start going south pretty quickly.
And now we return to our COTH discussion of Finnegans Wake.
Maybe we better lock the door to this thread at midnite to keep the houseguests out???
I have nothing constructive to add. I just wanted to say thank you for the entertainment!
And now I’ve learned new things too-- so fun.
Either…
- They were like “who the heck is Amy Hunter?”
or they got right on the phone with George
- “Send us instructions, boss.”
