@DMK somehow the like button just doesn’t seem like its enough to convey my love for that picture :lol:
Yes, go back and read through the thread. According to the CoTH Cabal, sabotage and environmental contamination are implausible excuses made up by cheaters.
I have read it plenty. I don’t feel like the majority (your “Cabal”) is saying that a one time off positive for a drug could in absolutely no way be considered a sabotage (ie: the article you posted which was a one time, as far as this article reports, instance where the rider’s horses tested positive). Based on the KF situation, I would have a hard time believing sabotage based on history. As shown through this topic most people do have a hard time with excuses given when there is a pattern; the opinion of “it isn’t sabotage” is based on the fact that this is not the first time a test has been positive for this duo. It’s a bit like the boy who cried wolf. Do something wrong, skirt the system, get caught doing it, and then when something big happens saying “oh no no, but that one wasn’t me/my fault” and pointing fingers… meh. No sympathy for that.
The message is clear: once a cheater, always a cheater.
Are you conceding they’ve cheated?
Can someone send me a link to the story of when they tried to switch horses for drug testing? I some how missed that story…
No, not what I said. Once is a one time thing. I could definitely see how (not agree with though) someone would try to cheat once and decide it wasn’t worth it for them. Maybe the cheated two times… maybe (although less believable) they got caught the first time and thought they could get away with it the second and when that failed they decided it wasn’t worth it. However, when there is a pattern of behavior, especially over lengthy periods of time, I’ll be hard pressed to believe that you are going to change your colors - especially when, sadly, the cheating has proven to have a payout.
You’re better than that.
So are you?! Why do you bump this thread to make straw man arguments?!
From Bonnie Navin’s FB page this morning:
"Save the date: February 8, 2018 at 400pm. Palm Beach. Location TBA
Do you want to know what really happened!
Presentation of the Glefke-Farmer Legal Case and all the details from start to finish. The legal team will present the true facts of what was discovered and will field membership questions. The membership has asked for this open forum for an honest exchange."
A vast majority of USEF members are not in Palm Beach so I hope that they plan to webcast the presentation so in some way they can be a part of this forum if only to watch and listen.
I will listen with an open mind. Also aware that one party can present, select and cherry pick information that is presented. When not taken in totality- can be misleading.
Being “not guilty” or having something dismissed is much different than being innocent.
So now they are teaching lessons in how to beat the drug rules; and Ms. Navin is trolling for clients.
Maybe other lawyers can attend and get CLE credits.
From Murray Kessler in an email to the membership:
Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed to report that we had a serious error in our laboratory’s handling of a blood sample that left me no choice but to vacate the penalties on a high profile doping case. The respondents in that case requested that our laboratory test the “B” sample instead of the Maddy Equine Analytical Chemistry Laboratory based in CA. As was previously disclosed, mistakes took place in the handling and preparation of the “B” blood sample. By our rules, if the “B” sample does not substantially confirm the “A” sample result, then the case is dismissed.
What I found most upsetting about this situation was not the fact that a lab technician made a mistake, but rather that this information was not disclosed outside of the laboratory to management, our legal team or the Hearing Committee. Our legal team learned about these errors from opposing counsel, who disclosed this mistake and others. This is simply not okay and requires significant and immediate corrective action to restore confidence in USEF’s drug testing program.
Kudos to Bonnie Navin and her team!
It is discussed in this article: he and his groom were set down.

Very funny, Bent Hickory

Sorry, but I just have to comment on this. Ms. Navin works with a very successful firm and typically handles major high dollar personal injury and malpractice cases. She is very successful in her work and is certainly not trolling for clients.
All lawyers look for new clients by self advertising; it’s how they do get clients. Presentations at seminars for non-lawyers are classic ways to generate new business. This is nothing more or less than that.
And don’t forget: The LOVE of money is the root of all Evil. Doesn’t matter how much they make, they always want more. Their egos and greed demand it.
