The weeping and gnashing of teeth among the ranks of the CoTH Cabal is reaching EPIC proportions!

You are better than that.

I don’t know why that keeps being said. When someone shows you who they are- believe them.

LOL^10! The Love of money is the root of all evil.

Serious blanket statement. There are many attorneys who love the work they do and aren’t just in it for the money and are the furthest thing from evil.

I’m talking about the ones who know their client is guilty and defends them like they are innocent.

Isn’t that their job?

Honestly? “The CoTH Cabal”? I think you give more powers of organization to the diverse membership of the COTH forums than are due.

I just don’t see the secret COTH society or conspiracy that you seem to take for granted. Maybe because I have not been invited to participate in the conspiracy?

Perhaps I should feel there is a conspiracy against my participation in the conspiracy

The latest update.
My recommendation is that their next sales horse be named “Speechless.”

That article is disgusting. And no Larry, you were not innocent, you just got off on a technicality. Your history before this proves you don’t play clean. I can’t wait for one of those horses with a smart ass name to come up positive. Then they can rename one Bad Karma

Perhaps now that USEF realizes that it needs proper lab procedures and is commendably addressing that issue, it can now consider increasing the penalty for giving, or having a horse “environmentally contaminated” (always by “the groom”) cocaine.

I have a question for The Chronicle re this article
why even write it??? Why even give them ANY acknowledgement of ANY awards won?? I’m sure the other ribbon winners would understand not having ONE article NOT being written due to who the winner was (and I’m sure the Chronicle can stand up to KF and LG if they choose to come after them for not writing a story). Even in the article you stated how they have made digs at the USE(F) with the names of their new horses, which is utterly despicable if you ask me!! If they hate they USE(F) so much (which they have proven they do by the names of their new horses), then go find anther sport to cheat in!! It’s just disgusting what they are doing.
And for professionals such as Minikus to provide them with a horse to ride well that is part of this ongoing problem. Clients, professionals, customers ALL need to walk/RUN away and choose some of the MANY other Professionals out there that work hard and show CLEAN!! And I know for a fact there are some out there, just search some of their names. Minikus could have very well done his homework and picked a “clean” rider!! Now he has lost a “fan,” and hopefully I’m not the only “fan” he has lost!
Rant over

Wonder if the horse was tested? My bet, they won’t touch these peoples horses for tests in the next two years.

He knows. To wit: “I said, ‘I promise to you till hell freezes over I’ll prove I’m innocent,’ " Glefke said.”

I don’t think “til hell freezes over” means what he thinks it means.

God, I get tired of the combination of of the entitled and ignorant at the same time.

He lost me. I was a huge fan and he was one of my idols growing up. If that snotty “you’re gonna love his name” line referred to this whole drug mess, that’s absolutely despicable.

I am quite frankly a bit amazed that he is essentially laughing in the face of the system.

I get it, I do. If the process was flawed, then there is no recourse.
However, how someone initially reacts to the news their horse tested positive can pretty much tell all. I have seen where riders/owners have literally been flabbergasted at the news - and extremely upset at having something like this ‘attached’ to them personally. They have done everything in their power to figure out how it happened to restore their credibility in the industry, and to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
And then you have others who react totally differently, such as the folks this thread is about. What you say, how you say it and if you willingly take responsibility tells me everything I need to know about you. I personally hold all ‘professionals’ to a higher standard and expect nothing less. It’s their JOB. It is unfortunate that so many clients do not have high expectations for the professionals in their lives. It not only hurts their horses but the entire industry as well.

I actually am glad Chronicle covered the class and quoted LG. It’s more a news item then an article and winning a prestige class is news.

The quotes allow readers to see what they actually say and form an informed opinion about attitudes and motives and the same about those who support them by sending them horses.

Very, very informative for such a short piece with brief quotes.

We, as a society, are seduced by obtaining bright shiny things and they won a major class catching a bright shiny thing.

One of the gymnasts pointed out everybody knew that situation but fell for the " But look at all the bright shiny things they won" so it was worth it.

Was it? Is it worth it here? What’s a bright shiny thing worth personally? What do we tolerate in its pursuit?

Fantastic observation! So basically COTH is giving KF/GL the rope to which KF/GL will hang themselves. Also, since USEF will have tight protocols in place to handle samples A and B, when they do get caught cheating, it will stick.

I guess character and integrity and the other virtues we try to instill in our kids by participating in sports means nothing anymore. If you cheat, you double down and deny. Then mock the governing body openly with a smirk and a wink. Disgusting on so many levels.
