Wrong Kardashian/Jenner clan member - Kylie is the one who bought the pony, Kendall is her older sister.
Ok, let’s do this.
Take the big name celebrity out of the story.
A 22 year old friend of yours, who knows nothing about horses, tells you she bought a 17 year old pony for her two year old daughter, and paid $200,000, which she can afford.
You say…
- Congratulations
- You did what ???
- Congratulations, but think WTH ?
I still choose #2.
Exactly! Mention an interesting news story… and immediately people accuse you of being “obsessed” with the Kardashians and wanting to die on some hill. I’m thinking people are a bit on edge with this pandemic!
Personally, I couldn’t pick any of the Kardashians out of a line-up. What I found interesting was the newspaper report that a 17 year old pony who had been living in the Netherlands (where presumably there are no pony hunters) was sold for $200k and just recently imported. It was a mystery what about the pony would command that kind of price, let alone why the pony would be described as the “most famous pony” in the world.
COTH sleuths have apparently determined that the newspaper story was erroneous, and that in fact the pony has been in the U.S. for 5 years showing in pony hunters. So that is enlightening information, but I’m not sure why it required so much sniping.
???
And your point is?
Mine was that Kylie is well aware of what a horse show is… proof, her sister does ride and compete.
Do you believe they do not talk to each other?
Kendall and Kylie are different people? Dude, you do need to chill. why are you so angry about this?
Im sure Kylie knows what a horse show is, ffs. I said she’s not showing at them. She probably doesn’t know what all the divisions and whatnot are ( yeah, even though she’s a businesswoman. She’s not an all knowing genius because she happens to run a business.) She may or may not show it. She’ll almost definitely use it for a photo prop at some point. Who cares? She can afford it and I’m sure when she’s done she’ll find it a nice home.
Why, in the H/J forum of all places are people criticizing the price tag of a lead line pony? Or assuming the pony is a prop? No one in the H/J world uses horses as a means to an end?
Is it because of who bought the pony?
Are you 12?
Why are you angry so much about this that you feel the urge to call names and disparage others?
Kendall is Kylie’s older sister…
Why do you care so much about Kylie being an equestrian and spending her well earned money on anything? Should she call you before any purchasde, maybe you could advise her on her successful business?
Stop with spewing your hate and your ridiculous assumptions.
Maybe get a life and close your Instagram account?!
Yep.
Some people are trying to exteriorized their own frustrations by spewing their hate onto others.
I’m confused.
Is the term “twit” an obscenity?
You’re a twit.
Well, thanks for the insult!
Well, you just said it was not.
Make up your mind.
Um, no. I asked if it was an obscenity. I think ‘twit’ is an insult, not an obscenity. Hence my confusion.
Not sure why you seem so annoyed?
To be fair the question was, is twit an obscenity, answer no.
Is it an insult, depends on context.
Perhaps there was some initial confusion between that term and a similar word with a different vowel in it, which would qualify as an obscenity for many people.
Hey guys, trade insults in some other way, okay?
FWIW, the only reason I ever wanted money was to spend it inappropriately on horses and horse-related things. Better a pony than so many other things. People buying nice ponies and treating them well is never bad.
My husband is from the Orkney Islands, to the north of Scotland, There is a place there called that similar word, with a different vowel, most of the direction signs to it are missing, I think people used to steal them, so they have given up replacing them.
Last week Boris Johnson was visiting the island, led to the comment, “Aye well, looks like there are two tw*ts on the island today”
Twit in English English means “you are not very smart, as in probably stupid”, tw*t is a vulgar name for a part of female anatomy when the i is replaced with an a. Twit I might not punch you in the nose, twit with an “a” I would.
Am I the only one who’s thinking “Lucky Pony!” He won’t have to show every weekend chasing points, be LTD to prep for his classes, will have all the massage/bodywork/supplements a small pony can dream of, and all he has to do is pose for photos and look adorable. Also, this is one equine we won’t have to worry about being sent on a double decker to Mexico when he can no longer show.
