Oh no for Allison! She was having a lovely ride until that moment.
āNice for a Thoroughbredā
Please stop with the stereotypingā¦many Thoroughbreds out there move as nice or better than other breeds.
I know⦠I wasnāt going to make the comment since I am sure most of you are sick of me opining about TBs, but now that itās out there⦠thereās been quite a few comments the past two days, where someone will denote a horse is a thoroughbred and then make comments about ātenseā and āfragileā⦠But then the horse after will go and be equally as tense to my eyes with no comment about it. I think there is some bias that comes into play where people look for things once they hear it is a TB. Iāve certainly experienced it myself at much lower levels.
Case in point, a very tense Bolytair B after that lovely test by Ben. And not as many negative comments about Boly who was feeling his oats today!!
Good for them for making that decision.
Thought that was a very tactfully ridden test from Dom who stayed super quiet and soft with a LOT of horse under him.
Exactly! Iām trying hard to not be negative but that annoys me so much.
I see a lot of really nice Thoroughbreds all the time that can match up with plenty of fancy sport horses who arenāt TB.
Nice horse is a nice horse.
Really looking forward to watching LMF and Tally go XC tomorrow.
Honor Me just looks like he would be a blast cross country! Love him!
He is so coiled up right now! I bet his jump is fantastic.
That (the rider needs the sunglasses) was my assumption as well. I will never ride at that level and have to decide what to wear, but I must wear sunglasses outside or I will have a splitting headache. Iām sensitive to bright sun and contact lenses magnify it.
Sure is doing a disservice to the TBs (and part TBs) who will go around tomorrow and make the time. A fancy moving WB is nice, but a TB is bred for slogging through bad turf and I know exactly which horse Iād want to sit on for a day like tomorrow ā and it isnāt RF Scandalous!
If I could pick a horse to be out there on tomorrow, it would be Honor Me.
Award for best braids goes to Buttās Avondale. And that natural tail. Iām smitten!
Dom shocks me every time in how quiet he can be when we know that horse is how he is. Even though the threats of spooking and the up/down changes. So quiet.
Nice test for a TB, from Butts Avondale (99% xx) Thatās my kind of horse.
I realllyyyy liked this horse. They did just talk about her breeding on the livestream :).
Such an elegant horse, wow.
My pick to ride tomorrow is Vermiculus! Heās just my size and lots of TB
From what Lisa says he never says no- good pick.
Definitely a new favorite of mine. Ticks all my boxes.
