Thanks
I missed the introduction. Whoâs doing the commentary right now? His comments on Elisa Wallaceâs bit choice wereâŠfrankâŠ
That was a lot of horses hitting the deck. I hope everyoneâs right as rain after a little TLC.
The 4* isnât live streamed, is it?
Yes
I have been a Boyd Martin fan since Neville Bardos and yet somehow never once thought with Tsetserleg, âhow did that horse get the nameâ I think I just assumed since Thomas is a warmblood it was just some German pile of syllables thatâs near-impossible to pronounce! (No offense to the people of Germany meant - have a good family friend whoâs somewhere in her 80s now who grew up in Germany and has lived in the US for decades.)
Thank you! I tried loading it a couple of times with no success, but weâre in business now.
Jess Phoenix seems to ride with her lower legs fairly forward, compared to other riders.
wonder if that is her normal style of riding or just something that works for this horse
I donât know, but I also missed the comment. Do you remember what was said?
Something to the effect that he would need to âhave a talkâ with her about her bitting choices later. That he doesnât like to see âa lot of metalâ in a horseâs mouth.
Boyd shows as withdrawn on the 4* leaderboard
Jimmy Woffordâs commentating right now
Jimmy Wofford.
Ahh. That makes sense. Thank you!
I think let it be lee may have lost his right hind shoe
Boydâs out of the 4*
Many horses seem to be falling apart and losing confidence with the weather.
I too noticed that about Jessica Phoenixâs stirrup placementâshe almost seemed to be riding with the old hunt style, with her foot pressing forward, like she was pressing down on a gas or brake pedal. I donât recall her riding like that before. Perhaps because of concerns about the footing?
I have a question, and it isnât snark, but if Ollie thought he lost a shoe, why risk going on knowing you probably wonât be sound tomorrow? I guess because it costs so much to come over? But shouldnât horses welfare come first? Just askinâ not complaining
He made a comment that he couldnât afford the flight home without the prize money, which I thought was a joke, but maybe not?
Rightfully so
I missed what her bit set up was like. Did anyone see?
They lose shoes all the time itâs not common it just depends whether they bruise or not. Itâs luck of the draw the next day whether all their work plays out. He had to put new shoes on before because of the rain so his feet are
Prob falling apart.
