just wow, (IMO) you are just plain rude, egotistical, and you dont have a very good life
I feel sorry for you
Hey Leah,
Apparently you have now completed your basic training and have now ascended to my level.
YAY for me!
Now if only you can get GAP to “ignore” you . . .
mutual boot licking is even more disgusting.
Two posts combined for brevity.

It’s silly and ridiculous to mindlessly debate “corrected” versus “maintained.”
There is no “debate.” The terms describe completely different states of existence and are not synonymous. Some pathologies affecting the hoof capsule can be corrected; others cannot be corrected, but their symptoms can be palliated by being maintained by some means.
Furthermore, the OP specifically requested pictures of corrected underrun heels, not underrun heels that are being maintained. When one defines underrun heels on the basis of horn tubule orientation at the heel, photos of the latter are common, while pictures of the former do not exist.

If civility disgusts you, just look around - you oughta be able to find enough acrimony to make you positively giddy. :)
She’s just jealous. Can’t wait to see if she turns up at Horse Days next week. I suppose I should keep a wary eye out for low flying broomsticks or distaff dogs, in heat or otherwise… If my guard hamster finishes his advanced training in time, I’ll be sure to bring him along.

If your hamster can’t make it, momma can furnish an attack rabbit. Don’t let their small size fool you, these little rabbits are like hummingbirds: if they got any bigger, folks would be afraid to go outside.
Agreed
This is where I get a little confused about COTH. OP posts a question, and has a hypothesis of her own… everyone takes it as instigating an opportunity for argue and debate? Um…
[edit]
If the underrun heels were just being maintained, there would be no change in the orientation of the heel.
I guess one could argue about “corrected” vs. “improved” but it’s more fun and more productive to stare at a wall. Can the horse do his job and stay sound? That is what matters.
If the OP and others don’t believe in improvement of underrun heels, thank goodness that’s their problem and not mine.
GAP do you actually trim any horses?
Just curious.
Rumor has it you do not.
I am thinking that is a interesting point.
I have unfortunately learned tonight that blocked users are not blocked when the posts show up on the midnight email.
jealous? you indulge and flatter yourself.
I’ll be at Horse Days and enjoy tripping you and poking you in the a@@ with something sharp and pointy when you are not looking.
that’s really all you deserve.
If the definition of correction is simply changing ‘the orientation of the heel’, then farriers do it all the time with wedges.
I suppose that is correction as well.
Why guess? And what is there to ‘argue’ about? Do you some how believe that ‘corrected’ and ‘improved’ are synonymous?
… but it’s more fun and more productive to stare at a wall.
This I suspect is the voice of experience speaking…
If the OP and others don’t believe in improvement of underrun heels, thank goodness that’s their problem and not mine.
“improving” under run heels is not the same as having ‘corrected’ under run heels. As has been noted ad naseum, ‘corrected’ implies a permanent fix, which thus far, no one here has been able to demonstrate they have accomplished. "maintaining’ that improvement is a far different matter than that.
Hardly. Your words sing a different song.

Cowardly, but expected…
that’s really all you deserve.
I look forward to our encounter. Nine days and counting. LOL!
Darn, I just wish the event was being held in Ga or SC so I could attend. I might learn something about hoof care and uh other things. Will someone go and video the action and post the video on youtube?
I think maybe there’s a connection between the two though. Both seem “to protest too much.” (Altho that “poking” sounds a little too kinky for me to watch.)

If anamosity, loathing or disgust are connections, then at least on my part there is indeed a connection. I wonder how long it would take for a farrier to be permanently banned if the situation were reversed and it was a farrier that threatened another member of the forums. I note for the record, that I really couldn’t care less about the threat but i’d sure like to see a level playing field.
I’ve rather lost the plot - but perhaps someone could explain the hoof in these photos:

Will throw in this photo just for fun - although it is not funny. If there is a logical explanation would love to hear it:

Obviously, some pigs are a great deal more equal than others on this forum.
Enjoy yourself at Horse Days - and if you happen to notice a specimen heading in your direction while hiding under the cloak of anonymity, you’ll have plenty of time to take appropriate action.
