Augusta’s got her game face on, she’s not here to play.
Ya know, Stacia has a nice crop of 14/15 yos coming up. Bet we will see them really getting competitive in the years to come.
She’s even wearing gloves!
Augusta made that first line look like a cakewalk.
I wonder if that horse would have helped her out at the in to the combination if he hadn’t been bearing down on her hand so hard. Looked to me like she was finessing him trying to drag her around.
Nice job, Gussie. Would have liked to see a more definitive hand gallop to the end, but it should move her up.
Augusta could ride a fish!
How come the software will let me post just an emoji, but if I capslock YEAH GIRL or something it’s not a complete sentence?
And win.
She’s probably ridden some fishy ones, anyway.
SOMEONE GIVE US THE HAND GALLOP WE DESERVE, please
Really want to see a change of speed to the last jump!
Please don’t post the canter in your opening circle at the Maclay finals, thank you.
At the IEA show I was at this weekend, there was a tie for high point rider, so the judge asked each rider a question. The question was to name the 4 natural aids (I’ve always been taught 5, but beside the point). Each of the riders included eyes/sight in their answer and were told that was wrong, the eyes weren’t one of your natural aids. Anyone who watched Augusta just now would agree that your eyes are indeed one of your natural aids; with how deliberately and how well she looked ahead for each turn, it just made each line and turn so easy for her.
The first couple did.
Who is Augusta riding?
Baylee McKeever’s position on a horse reminds me a lot of McLain.
Maybe I’m imagining it, but I can really see McLain’s influence in Baylee’s riding.
Hands, leg, seat/weight, voice, what’s the 5th one?
That was a great round, except for landing on the cross-canter after 2. Kinda hope the judges didn’t see it.
Eyes?
