Boyd withdrew On Cue. Sounds like she’s ready to step down to a lower level and I commend their team for making the difficult decision to withdraw.
We are all set up right inside the main entrance! Looks like it’s going to be incredible weather, hope to see a lot of you there
I know she is 18. I was kind of wondering why she was entered. Probably he wanted another go, where she had triumphed.
There are a number of older horses this year. Barnaby is 18, Oli’s gray is 17, Thomas is 17, Mai Baum is 17 (and looks AMAZING).
I jiust meant she hasn’t been out a lot lately. I know she went to Kentucky, but she didn’t finish. Wasn’t she picked to go to the Olympics in Japan, then had to be withdrawn? I don’t remember seeing her after that for a long time. I could be wrong of course. But that is what I remember.
There was just a COTH Instagram post that On Cue is retiring.
I watched earlier it started at 1 EST.
Anyone know if USEF will be streaming this for free for Fan Accounts?
I watched the jog live with my free fan account. I think you can stream the whole event live with a free account as well.
Courses are up! https://www.crosscountryapp.com/events/md-5
I always wonder how the heck the horses are riders are supposed to get these done, but then at least one combination will make it look like a walk in the park. The terrain will make it even more interesting as always. Also very happy to see a full coffin and sunken road!
Looks like you can’t watch replays through CMH even with a USEF Subscriber account and I am really pretty annoyed–I re-upped my Subscriber membership explicitly to watch this event under the assumption that it would be part of the USEF Network content, but it’s not. They’ve also locked down fullscreen access even to the livestream; you can only use the small player.
Pretty vexing.
This will not have the effect of making me pay for a CMH subscription. This will have the effect of making me no longer watch United States five-stars.
I’m absolutely willing to, and have, and regularly do, pay $25 for high-quality single-event access to Burghley or Badminton. I would be willing to pay a bit more, even. I subscribe to other high-quality media outlets and want to support content availability. But I’m not paying $180 STILL WITH ADS to watch the jogs and SJ (since I’m fence judging on XC day!), or double that for no ads.
Sure, it’s possible that my $180 might also get me LRK3DE access (if they pull the same shenanigans in 2025), especially since last year it did for the Maryland event, but even if I knew that for sure (which I don’t), two events for $180 (again! with ads!) is still too much.
Gulp…those crabs would be nightmare inducing to some horses if they paused to look at them.
I’m glad Cue’s team had the grace to keep her out of this competition and let her safely step down. I’d be very curious to know if anything specific about this course made Boyd pull Cue after he saw it/walked it? I know he said that she wasn’t running at full steam on her workouts immediately preceding which is entirely understandable.
I am going to be jump judging Saturday too, and was hoping to be able to see some of it., but if it is showing on CMH I guess that goes out the window.
I am watching right now with no CMH subscription and it allows me to use full screen.
For schedule reasons I need to time-shift, so I haven’t tried the livestream myself. I was going based on the info on the website, which I reviewed with much more detail after confirming that I was unable to replay through CMH even with my Subscriber membership:
Viewing is free in small player mode on both the Maryland 5 Star website and ClipMyHorse.TV. Please note: The full screen viewing or app download requires a ClipMyHorse.TV subscription to watch the livestream through their site.
Glad that’s wrong, at least.
What is the boutique name?
I am very happy with the clip my horses feed… I can see the 3* dressage tests, the 5 year old dressage, and the 4 year old jumping on 3 different streams!
I am able to watch it on my Fan Account. Sometimes it won’t let you view it on a full screen and you can’t go back and watch it later, but you can stream live.
We have Remarkable Leather Goods and the Green Hill collection as well as The Engraver. Thanks for asking!
We’ll be stopping by tomorrow! Hoping to see some of the training long sleeve shirts
