We are almost cleaned out of those after Dressage at Devon but hopefully there are still some in your size. If you want to PM me your size I can see what is left or you can leave it as a surprise
If you have a website, please PM me. Looking for Christmas presents
Can anyone get full screen or PIP from
CMH on their phone? The struggle is real….
ETA…downloaded the app and all good now.
Who is giving the commentators their information on the rider’s and horse’s histories? Other than the breeding, they are wrong on almost all of them!
That was some apology for their comments on one rider’s round at Plantation Field.
I’m equally annoyed by their lack of basic grammar. No, Sinead, it’s not “Her and her husband own …” it’s “She and her husband own…” It just grates on my nerves.
examples?
For one, Cosby Green is on her 4th 5*. Which is an incredible accomplishment for a 23 year old. Don’t make her sound like a green rider.
Also, the number of 5*s Barnaby has done
And a lot of other good previous results were left out of the 3*
And the apology was embarrassing.
In the apology they said the pair actually WD at Plantation but the FEI results do indeed say RET … not sure what they said originally on the livestream about the pair but if they’re going off of what’s in the FEI scores …
Is anyone able to see results on Evententries? I keep getting “scores are not updated message”
Its not on event entries it looks like.
Live leaderboard for each division is linked here:
thanks for that. It is listed on Event Entries, but then it says nothing reported.
This is also a niche complaint but I wish Sinead would stop describing horses not performing the dressage movements ideally as “they are getting experience”
While it’s not untrue, and I understand them attempting to be gentle, it’s not unkind to say it was just not that horses day, or that horse holds a lot of tension in the dressage. If we want to promote our sport to outsiders, we might be better off being more blunt about what’s happening. Tension plays into every sport, so that is understandable to someone unfamiliar with eventing.
At the end of the day, everyone competing has the same goal: finish the event on the lowest score possible. While the lowest score achievable will be different for everyone, determining their competitiveness, we gotta stop promoting that people aren’t coming to be competitive.
I couldn’t agree more. This is the best he’s ever looked. What a testament to Tamie’s program. I’m sure this is a very emotional weekend for her.
So proud of my 4yo homebred TB. We finished 11th in a very tough division of quality young event horses. He really grew up a lot and gained so much from the experience, going home with tons of confidence. Not sure if anyone saw the 4yo live stream, but it was really well done! Thanks to @elizabeth_Callahan for making the US Event Horse Futurity such a success!
Finally getting to watch dressage. Currently it’s the 3*. Commentators have remarked that the bell has been rung before the horse was barely a quarter of the way around the dressage ring and that multiple rides have been penalized for entering late.
Hasn’t this been an issue in the past at this event? I remember the problem with poor Lauren in show jumping but I think I recall this in the dressage phase as well. You’d think that the organizers would have this sorted by now…?
I watched the 2 riders that were penalized, and neither had anything to do with the judge ringing the bell early.
One didn’t appear to hear that it had been rung, and the other just didn’t plan well and chose to canter around the entire ring instead of turning around after it was rung.
I am surprised to see that Maryland and Hagyard Midsouth are running on the same weekend.
I imagine many of the Maryland entries have Training / Prelim / Intermediate horses or students that would otherwise have entered Hagyard.
It was kind of annoying given the atmosphere
For the record Sinead you are not seeing double bridles in the 3* because they haven’t been allowed at that level since 2020.
Do they not supply the commentators with a sheet on the horses? Ema Klugman’s Bronte Beach is a mare. They referred to her as a “he” throughout the test.
