MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

Likely.

I wonder how easy it would be to call in a suggestion that a horse had been drugged…?

Yes. Again, just absolutely incredible to think that such a situation could arise. And the police did nothing!

No, he said he was calmly talking to LK on the phone when LK said, ‘Oh, Michael just showed up’, followed by two gun shots and LK dropping off the call.

For crying out loud, why are we still going back and forth about the criminal trial and NGRI? Move on already

Once again, you are incorrect.

I don’t know if that actually happens. That is to say, I don’t know if drug testers take suggestions from outsiders about which horses to test. That seems like a terrible idea.

But it is absolutely a real possibility to get tested at any recognized show. And the odds are definitely higher at certain shows and certain levels.

There is an ignore feature. My posts can easily be ignored.

Random discussion related to the topic of this thread - well a tangent.

Some how, even not being a lawyer, I know to not ignore a subpoena and I know to not send private communications to the judge.

Others here, not lawyer types, do you know this too?

It still seems so shocking that a lawyer, Jonathan Kanarek, ignored a subpoena and sent a private letter to the judge.
But then, his daughter, who filed the case, feels she does not have to be disposed in the location that she filed the case so I guess there is enough - who does that - to go around in that family.

That was the point of hiring hay guy: to watch the barn at night. MB was also doing some amount of wandering around, but they were horse people, not experienced security. And LK was going full ninja through the woods and rest of the property.

Based on the pictures of the barn area, it seems that once the residents of the barn were forced to sleep outside, then there would have been multiple ways to approach the office without being seen. It would be easy to see that everyone was asleep/unaware. Even the text about the dryer seemed to me that it was more about finding out if people were asleep to allow her to sneak around than any real concern.

Since we know LK knew about RC’s gun being put in the office safe, it makes you wonder……

Oh, speaking of, prior to the trial, I don’t think any source said anything more than they put the gun somewhere in the office. I suggested that the they surely put the gun in the safe, because that was the most responsible course of action. I got quite a bit of pushback from certain posters who wanted to paint MB and RC’s actions as negligent, but JumpinQueen and La-La (both now banned) really got themselves in an uproar.

She posted that she reported MB to the USEF and FEI in one tweet. I think she also suggested quite a bit of nefariousness with MB and the horses, here or FB maybe.

Very true.

Perhaps if everyone ignored the posters continuing to rehash trial and the meaning of NGRI they would eventually give up?

Yeah! Well if they can get kids like me to take a polio vaccine in a sugar cube……

I think some people ignore scary stuff hoping it will go away, especially when it will be hard/result in punishment. Even when they know doing it quickly will result in less pain, like ripping off a bandaid, they won’t do it. Probably especially if someone is forcing the them.

edited to add: ex parte communication with a judge is just ignorance or unbridled arrogance.

They would not give up. No how, no way. And they would eventually weaponize the fact their assertion was unchallenged. “I’ve been saying this for months and everyone agreed, no posts otherwise”.

Again, I invite people to simply put me on ignore. Skip over me. See my name and roll their eyes and move on.

But there is no reason why I would ever assume that incorrect assertions will stop without oppositional oxygen given the duration and tenacity of posting.

Do people not feed their horses sugar cubes? I do all the time

I would not even know where to buy sugar cubes…
Do they still sell that at the grocery store?

I feed treats, probably too many treats. But not sugar cubes.

Who the hell feeds horses sugar cubes when they were expressly told not to feed the horse anything?

Who does that?

Perhaps someone trying to sabotage your riding career by feeding a horse an illegal substance that is banned in competition.

Right? Hard to believe it’s anything but that.
