The lil girls next door call me the Ninja Cat Burglar, cause I stole their cat and when I leave them things in an effort to redeem myself, I’m stealthy.
Their cat, both last year and this, left a selection of entrails on our sidewalk to celebrate.

You should know that on holidays, Hershey makes ‘Hersheyettes’, which are M&Ms with Hershey chocolate and are so vastly better than M&Ms. You used to be able to get them in shops in bags year round, but that ended long, long ago. Now your only option is to look for those plastic tubes at holidays. At Christmas, the tube is topped with a cane top. At Valentine’s, with a heart.
Then, at Easter, they make a much larger egg-shaped one. Superior to M&Ms in every way!!

Well, my kid didn’t need sugar so…
He could keep his favorites, and the rest went back in the bag, on his bedroom doorknob for the Great Pumpkin who would leave him a toy.

Omg, one year I guess I hadn’t thought of a costume so I went as a ghost with a sheet over my head a la Charlie Brown … it was raining. I’m short. I was shorter then. So my eye holes kept creeping up as my sheet dragged behind me weighed down by the rain… And the occasional yank as my step dad stepped on it, asking “what did they give you?”

I must say, they must REALLY slum it when they travel. Not since my post-uni, staying in dodgy hostels, backpacking around Europe days have I stayed anywhere that didn’t have excellent high-speed wifi. I would have thought, given how much the preen and posture about money, they’d be more the 5-star hotel types when they travel. Even a Holiday Inn Express level hotel would have excellent wi-fi these days.
I guess they must already be flat broke.

For the price of plane tickets I bet they could have hired an attorney to put in an appearance for them, and a proper motion to quash, or something.
And you can’t tell me that wherever they are, there isn’t a Starbucks or McDonald’s with internet.

If you knew you were going to go out of the country, wouldn’t you plan for this well in advance to let the court know to see if it could be scheduled around the time you were gone. Five days before the hearing seems strange to me unless it was some sort of emergency.

I can see pencil and eraser sets, or unwrapped Happy Meal toys but toothbrushes? Ouch. No chocolate this year. Barbie Funables and Space Jams are the only sugar. Rest is individual bags of Fig Nrewtons, Goldfish, Keebler cookies and Oreos, mini bags of micro popcorn, and every pack of everything Frito Lay has invented.
Little rats started arriving at 5pm, I’ll probably be handing out cans of V8 and teabags by 9.

Nope, they’re {Tootsie Rolls Fruit Chews} available year-round in grocery stores, Target, Walmart, etc. 
I LOVE candy corn!!!
And I LOVE Halloween!! BEST holiday of the year!!! Except maaaaybe 4th of July.

If I remember correctly, the coneheads from SNL gave out fried eggs and beer at Halloween in their skits. Just a suggestion if you run out.
