MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

I have probably scared @jaj far off, but I am just so astonished that there are people like me in this rarified world. Remain a fan. Alas… leave it to me to be a weirdo.

In the meantime, I feel like the 18-1 thing is fortuitous. Has everyone bought their Powerball tix?

The best Christmas song ever made is Christmas Eve Sarajevo.

My favorite is White Christmas/Bing Crosby. His voice is velvet.

This thread has been such fun without the animosity and rehashing. Not only have I found that not everyone is elderly, robe wearing, or focused on vintage candy and traditional holiday tunes, but there are artsy punks like me in our sport. And it’s been “quiet”. I like it.

I’m still a kid at heart. I like Burl Ives Christmas songs

In that case, allow me to wish you an early Holly Jolly Christmas  :christmas_tree: :santa:

Have two words: Intense. Dramatic. I do like the cats. I still think mine wins.

I think remakes of Christmas songs by pop/rock/country singers should be banned from radio. All of them. They are an abomination and nobody should be forced to hear Bruce Springsteen singing Santa Claus Is Coming To Town unless it’s in their own Spotify playlist lol.

Now beautiful choral music like the Kings College Choir singing the service of 9 lessons and carols? That I could listen to all day. And Handel’s Messiah. And singing it with a choir and orchestra is amazing.

On the first point, we cannot be friends. On the second? I haven’t heard the Kings College Choir, though I shall now seek it out, I will also admit that the Mormon Tabernacle sometimes skews me towards the traditional.

Not that this has anything to do with Christmas tunes, candy or Friday’s zoom hearing, but I just watched several Lady Gaga videos and was crying like a baby. So talented. So artistic. Such a gift her voice.

When my daughter and I are together it seems we always listen to “Million Reasons” and sing together. Me very out of tune, daughter beautifully in synch. Thanks App State for fine tuning her voice.

Sorry totally off topic and running my mouth to my fellow believers and weirdos. :musical_score: :studio_microphone: :musical_keyboard: :musical_score:

Holly Jolly Christmas and Rudolf and Frosty are all beloved songs. I also still watch the Rankin-Bass Christmas classics.

My favorite Scrooge variation is the 1970 musical Scrooge. With Albert Finney, and Alec Guiness it was a fun romp.

A few years of working retail during Christmas break ruined pop Christmas songs for me. I just can’t do it. Mariah Carey = :hocho::hocho::hocho::hocho:

However. Mannheim Steamroller’s version of silent night just gets me every time. And Handel’s Messiah plays on repeat from thanksgiving until mid January.

It’s not a Christmas song, but I feel the same way about the Céline Dion song from Titanic. Finally I had to change the radio dial to a country station, and I’ve never turned it back. Lol.

On Miracle on 34th St, does Santa buy the house for them or just act like a realtor and point them in the direction of the house? Always bugged me.

I love putting ambience videos on my smart TV.
