MB CIVIL SUIT UPDATE #10 K’s Request to Adjourn (delay) DENIED 11/01/22

As an editor, this really bugs me, but I’ve noticed enough mistakes in these legal filings that I’m trying to ignore them.

Eventually the orders will be uploaded on the court docket. If we can’t watch, that may be all we get, unless someone wants to pay for a transcript.

Honestly, I have no idea if there will be any more tomorrow. I guess that would depend on what happens with what is on the calendar for tomorrow and if there are any other issues outstanding. I will say that if they are having these types of arguments this early in the case, you can bet we will see many, many more filings as the case goes on.

No idea, and I think this goes back to we really haven’t seen this judge in action yet. There’s no history of how he does things in this case yet. We will learn a little about how he does things tomorrow for sure.

In 24 hours, we won’t be able to say that.

Thanks again for all the insights!

I do not think a lawsuit should be business decision.
I took someone to small claims court for breaking a dog breeding contract. Sold dogs for breeding purposes after signing a contract that the dogs would be spayed/neutered.

I decided on a budget beforehand and stuck to it.

It gave me great pleasure to announce, by email, the Ontario Courts found in my favour and called the person/business a liar and awarded me a nominal sum.
In the end the only thing it cost was my time and energy. (I probably would not have the energy now).

Of course the costs were not equal to MB’s costs but sometimes the principle is more important for mental health.

MB wants to be able to hold his head high and if this is how he can heal than more power to him.

Of course LK believed farrier work should be included in her steal of a deal of $5,000.00 per month. She also testified that trailering to shows was included in the $5,000.00 as well.

Did she? I had forgotten that part.

To quote one of my favorite movie lines from The Music Man:
Even should that happen to be true…

That possibility seems a little more credible if it was a nearby show and MB was taking his own rig and had an open slot anyway. Still highly unlikely, though.

The idea that the cost of the farrier work would be included in the board is completely outlandish, in my experience. Even if MB was shoeing the horses himself instead of paying a farrier for the work.

She did.

She was then asked who took her horses, it was either MB or JH who drove. Before she was shot, she was planning on going to HITS in NY. Not just next door.

It’s 130 miles each way, according to Google maps. Or just over $500 a horse at the fairly conservative estimate of $2/mile for shipping.

But sure, that should be included in her bargain basement board rate. /s

And then she fails to show…

And her spot could have been occupied by a paying customer who did want to go and who would have showed up.

That’s what I’m remembering, also.

Was that for Taylor’s signature?

Lol!!

It is interesting that Seeker1 is still trolling the thread even though she is out of the country, supposedly.

It’s also interesting that JK/KK seem to be showing so much restraint, especially compared to their past behavior on the BB.

I’m sure they have no choice.

What would be a likely reason that on the filings from the Nagel firm we sometimes see them from Nagel and others from O’Connor? That seems like it would get confusing.

I am not a lawyer but to me it seems like that firm is representing Lauren and sometimes an underling lawyer files the paperwork.

I wonder who will do the speaking tomorrow?
