I wonder what the tone & context of LK’s texts, emails, posts to and about GJ say about LK? How about what LK had to say about her XH and former in-laws? Particularly when she was in the midst of her divorce?

I am not a member of the LK family. Outside of this forum, I do not know them. I do not and have not followed her on Facebook, instagram, YouTube, or anywhere else. I first learned her name after MB shot her. I am not friends of the family.

I am not a lawyer nor do I work for one.

I think MB and LK were a bad mix. I think MB was under a lot of stress with losing Vera, his wife, his business partner, the person who tolerated his extra-marital affairs, and took care of all the details so he could compete and hold clinics. I think he was worried about cash flow. I think his 8-9 concussions may have affected him greatly. I’ll let one of the amateur psychologists/psychiatrists explain what happens to sports stars with multiple concussions.

I think LK felt he only wanted her monthly income and money for buying his horses or horses through him. I think he expected her to buy through him and not through Rosanna Williams. I think she resented that.

I think there was a lot of gossip in that barn and conflicting loyalties because of the divorce and then arrival of the new girlfriend.

LK should have left but I don’t know if she could control the funds in order to do so.

I believe the jury got it right that he shot LK twice and was insane at the time. I don’t believe LK drove MB crazy. He had enough on his plate to do so already.

I disagree with blaming victims.

I wish LK and MB well and hope they both continue to recover and rebuild their lives. I don’t expect it to be easy.

I agree with this. There was a lot going on in MB’s life besides having LK around. I believe MB bears responsibility in this whole mess. He had control, or should have had control, of who he allowed on his farm. LK was his student for an entire year before the spring of 2019 - he could have told her she couldn’t return to his farm in April. For heavens sake, he made his 15 yr assistant trainer move out of the apartment in the house where he’d lived for 15 yrs in order to move LK in there. Who does that to a loyal employee? There were a lot of strange decisions made by MB that made no sense to me at all. I don’t buy a theory put out here that somehow MB was forced to let LK have that apartment in the house.

I would never attribute tone to a text message between two people. No one here knows the dynamic of Michael’s relationship with Vera in 2018/2019 or the dynamic of his relationship with MHG. Any discussion is pure speculation unless the two women in question are here to discuss their relationship. That won’t happen because we know Vera, MH, and all others within Michael’s sphere have remained publicly silent.

He could have said “I had to pay a settlement to VK for her half of the business” instead of saying he was “clipped”. Saying he was clipped implies he was taken.

Instead of griping to the current girlfriend that you were “clipped” for $965,000 by your ex wife, someone who considered it a fair division of assets with the former wife and business partner could save even more time by not making the gripe at all.

I don’t think it is but I’m telling you if you like rum cake and are short on time this recipe is the bomb!

If you make it, you’re going to panic about the amount of rum that gets poured over it but don’t. Lol. Mine immediately floated out of the bundt pan and i thought I ruined it but low and behold it ended up perfection. Just follow the directions and all will be well.

Given that we know nothing about the economic relationship between MB and his former wife, or how they reached a settlement of the division of their assets, it is impossible to know whether or not either party considered it “fair”…
