So, on that “great place to go,” if it is a certain place as speculated about here, and if she looked on COTH Forums about that trainer for information, then oops. That trainer has been the subject of some pretty nasty comments for a long time period. It didn’t die down until he won every court case and even now there are random, occasional posts.
FWIW, I don’t think that trainer ever intended harm. I think it was an accident, at the worst bad judgment handling a horse he did not know.
However, complaining about LK not moving into a barn with a trainer that has in the past been the subject of the COTH “discussions” is a bit unfair, ironic, yet typical of COTH comments.
Enforcement of “contract”. Does it make sense to any rational person, no, but look at the lengths they went through to stay where they knew they weren’t wanted. Maybe that plan with MB was longer ranging than we know. Maybe MB was specifically targeted. Maybe the retaliation for the eviction was because it ruined “other plans”. I wonder if the texts will show something……
You paid attention enough to reply, just not enough to get the context.
Since you weren’t paying attention: I had said this, not anything about MB moving. For the second time, moves as in action. You misunderstood. No need for snark.
Why did they let her move in if they didn’t want her to, I don’t get it.
I answered that question. The Kanarek’s do not appear to have to have grounds or a good reason to threaten to sue someone and most people are not as strong and brave as @Knights_Mom was and they are not willing to stand up to people like Lauren Kanarek when they threaten to sue over some made up reason.
In other words, not using the Kanarek name - there does not have to be something to get sued for, most people when threatened with a frivolous lawsuit will simply not want to be bothered and give in.
Yes he did. He was able to buy into the LLC, making him an owner. In fact, if you read Silver’s briefs, the SGF attorney acknowledges that MB is an owner and only refers to the Lundbergs as the majority share owner. Guess what, that means, there is a minority share owner….aka MB, but it still means he was an owner of the farm.
Sometimes even the threat of a lawsuit is enough for some people to back off, be fearful, or give in (depending on the situation).
Many layman don’t know that the individual(s) threading to sue have no real grounds to do so. They just see dollar signs aka money going out to defend themselves regardless if the suit has grounds or not. If someone is in a tight financial situation, or just doesn’t want to spend money on such a matter, they might just give in to whatever the demands are and hope it works out.
This is just generally speaking. People threaten bogus legal action all the time, well, certain types of people. It’s enough to scare some or influence some people.
It seems that in the US things can be topsy turvey. I know of instances where good parents had children removed from the household and other instances where a child’s life was endangered because CPS was so dedicated to keeping the family intact. I cannot fathom what goes through their minds when it comes to making these decisions.
Not everyone follows every post in these threads to an extreme right and I also suffer from memory issues due to some things and especially gets me on things that aren’t in my face all the time or very important to me.
Just saw your edit. Not sure what K legal misunderstanding even means in relation to my very simple comment I made.
If I remember correctly when MB said no to LK coming back JK threatened MB into compliance. I don’t believe the how was mentioned but I could be wrong.
