That’s fair. I’m just saying it’s a game I’d expect lawyers on both sides to be playing.

Shocker alert— I was more put off by the Deininger’s choice of the middle finger post than by Nagel’s description of the verdict in the criminal trial. But I’m not the judge.

You are not shocked that Lauren Kanarek chose to share that photo on social media herself, just that a lawyer chose to use it to represent an example of her?

No, I’m not shocked that she posted it and I’m not shocked that Deininger used it.

I found Deininger’s decision to use that photo out of the hundreds he could have used to show she was living life off putting. But I’m not shocked or surprised. It’s what lawyers do.

But my reaction doesn’t matter. All that matters is the judge’s reaction.

Why do you think there are 100s of photos available showing Lauren Kanarek living life since the shooting and since covid? Even as prolific as Lauren Kanarek is at posting on social media, I have a hard time thinking there are anywhere near that many photos so maybe this lawyer had to use what was available and this group of photos best showed the fact that Lauren is out being Lauren, in NYC having fun with no mask.

I thought the picture was funny and thought the finger was for the people trashing her online. I was struck by how much the sisters looked alike and how weak and pale and way too thin LK looked (something everyone commented on in trial).

I would absolutely expect an attorney to use that picture if it was relevant. I was surprised to see it used in an official filing for an in person deposition only because it might be too flippant and irritate the judge, not against LK but against the lawyer. I loved the picture of the horse but thought the same there. Relevance? However, some of y’all think it’s smart to do so. Maybe y’all are right. I don’t know the judges or the customs for that area.

They had the barn swept for bugs and I spent some time specifically trying to find out if anyone testified as to what, if anything, was found and I don’t remember hearing anything one way or the other. I’ve always been curious about that

I’m just not convinced that Deininger needed a door opened for him choose a nice crude photo of LK to make his point.

I’m not criticizing either lawyer. I assume their job is to get their points in, and you’ve only gone “too low” if judge gets offended.

To a few here LK can do no wrong. Ever. At all. Because even when they say “well maybe she shouldn’t have done this or that” it’s followed up by discrediting all things Barisone and legitimacy of their comparison never comes into play.

The ONLY thing missing from this recurring speech is “But his emails”.

On a total side note to the current discussion, am I the only person that noticed that the picture of LK on a horse was posted on Facebook, and LK was tagged in it? So much for her FB being shut down as the judge ordered huh? And makes you wonder who is “friends” with RG or LK who provided said picture.

On the specific issue of her being requested to provide all her posts on COTH, she responded that she was not in possession of physical copies, the request was too burdensome, and to the extent they existed, they were available on line. That’s what she said about COTH.

Where did she generically say the defense should scour all her social media?

Ooof can someone post a glossary of initials? I got lost in the helpful timeline entirely, after being puzzled before. I have MB, LK, RG, a few others but now there are EDs and KKs and others and I’m lost frankly.
