If Lauren drops the suit, it only makes the family look bad and will reflect poorly on them, if they attempt future litigation or continued harassment. If they carry on and the suit is dismissed with prejudice before things run their course and a conclusive settlement of all matters is made against them, they can bang the “We got screwed by the system!” drum and save some face, if people don’t look too closely at them.

All things considered, regardless of their opposition towards each other in the suit, it is in the interest of SGF and MB to see that this moves forward and the Kanarek family exposed for what they are.

Indeed. I’m curious What the Firecracker a lawyer was doing posting the crap he did last week. I understand his little girl was shot. I am a Mamma, I get that he was scared for her life. No matter the circumstances, that’s a terrifying situation to be in.

I just… even if you are scared, backed into a corner, barking mad… That was garbage spewing, and he should know better. Especially since the defendants for his little girls civil trial seem to have enough proof to stand behind a statement that they know that was him posting.

I do believe Jonathan Kanarek feels he is smarter than anyone here, which gives him the power to do as he wants and get away with it.

It was clear all along that the IM on this forum bore more intellectual resemblance to Vizzini, the overconfident bully, than a skilled swordsman. But seeing his smug face in the preview video only makes it more clear that he must have been confused about who was who in Florinthian history when he chose his screen name. Vizzini is a much closer fit all around.

JK told us so many times, in so many vile ways, exactly who he was … seems he himself is the only one who is confused about his identity.

As for why he’d blather on online, seems the whole clan misperceived their collective pigeon-level chess game as such high level mastery that the rest of the world is nothing but pawns. But like Vizzini, they were sorely mistaken about what the classic blunders are. It’s not “never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line”, it’s, “never go in against vacuumers, elderly mobsters in bathrobes, or pirates when your thin veneer of intellect, your family’s (dubious) honor, or your shady legal actions are on the line.”

This needs to be framed.

I think if there a is counter claim, the other parties have to agree to ending the case, or the counter claims can continue apace. Also, at the discovery phase, you’re looking at a settlement at the very least to dismiss your claim, and in this situation, with the info getting out, it will probably cost the Kanarek a pretty penny to dismiss…

I think I remember speculating way back on one of the other threads that IM was JK. But IM took great pains to deny any association with the K-Klan (lying obviously runs in the family). And then the Mods told us to stop speculating.

My memory isn’t great, and this in no ways diminishes my deep admiration and affection for Mod 1, but didn’t Mod 1 close down speculation towards the end of the trial that Inigo Montoya was JK.

That may well be. But of the two of them, I’m going to guess that a lawyer who is being careful about his facts in a legal document is more likely to be accurate than the moderator of our little BB.

Not due to lack of effort or bad intentions, or anything like that. But as others have said, it’s not that hard to post from a different device or IP address, or what have you.
