MB Civil Trial: JK/KK Contempt of Court?

Except when the owner acts as his own contractor. Depending on the work done, it may not even need permits. The problem at the barn was the septic tank capacity. I even posted the back up. Well, maybe you will get around to reading it and claiming it as your own in about 3 years like you did the evictions in New Jersey.

Yes but isn’t Mr. Deininger the lead on the civil trial? I am sure Mr. Silver is amazing …freaking amazing.
Bruce should be interesting.

Palm trees…wow. OK.

Yes, so we will see Mr Deininger argue his motion for contempt re: Kirby Kanarek. Mr Silver has his argument for Jonathan Kanarek, and Bruce will respond to both. Then all three will argue out whether or not Lauren is doing her deposition in person.

(Not necessarily in that order).

IM never said that “all the paperwork was filed”. He said that a lawyer “responded”. He was apparently referring to a one line email sent to Deininger.

Oh I missed this response. If they want to use it in court would they need subpoenas? That is your bailiwick. What say you? Is this why they think they know who IM is? They bought it on the dark web?

Will all three topics (Jonathan Kanarek contempt, Kirby Kanarek contempt, and Lauren Kanarek failing to appear for her deposition in her own civil trial) happen at the same time? Or will they have separate in person hearings on all three topics?
I thought there was a deadline of this Friday? Or was that just something Bruce asked for and it was never accepted?

(As) you wish.

So, originally the court was set to rule on all 3 on September 9th.

Bruce filed an adjournment on Jonathan and Kirby’s motions for contempt until this Friday, when the judge would rule.

However, because all the parties responded, oral arguments are basically baked into the motions.

I would guess the judge would hear all 3 at the same time.

Ah that’s so sweet. Thank you! Princess Bride meaning.

So the judge will not just rule without hearing oral arguments from all the stuff written in their responses already?

So the deadline for this friday just goes away and they schedule some time for oral arguments? Is that just the lawyers? Does the Trifecta have to be there too?

They don’t have much more time to wait do they? With the subpoena date they want being mid October…

We know he’s not going to rule without hearing everyone on the deposition, because there’s an entry in the docket re: scheduling. I would bet it’s not scheduled yet because he was waiting to see what happened with the two contempts. The responses from SGF and MB were just filed last Friday, so I imagine a date is coming soon.

It was originally October 10th but both Mr D and Silver said they were flexible on the dates in their pleadings.

Yes as RG was acting in the capacity of a contractor in receiving compensation.

That makes me think you’ve been overly dramatic about the “threats” made by LK.

Who made the decision to not obtain an occupancy permit for the barn living quarters? Wasn’t there staff living there for years prior to 2018?

Didn’t mean to skip this part of the question, but yes. Especially Jonathan and Kirby unless someone files a Notice of Appearance that they are representing them and can give the court a good reason why they ignored the subpoenas AND didn’t show up in court when the defendants are asking them to be held in contempt.

This kind of hearing I imagine Lauren could appear by Zoom or whatever.

That’s a disappointment. The irony of her having to go to New Jersey to argue why she can’t go to New Jersey for a deposition would have been soooo much better!

That would be fun, yes.
