You know, these petty little details aren’t really going to stick out to jurors.
I think what is really going to stick out to jurors is the SS report that LK filed with the false allegations of child abuse/child sexual abuse. There was no distinction in that report, simply a “yes” or “no” to either. I don’t think LK’s argument of “well, I only meant verbal abuse” is really going to matter. The report speaks volumes. It’s going to be clear that LK weaponized SS to falsely accuse MB of child abuse to try to destroy him as a person. Everyone can imagine how horrible that is and how horrible it would be to falsely accuse someone, let alone how this jeopardizes actual victims of abuse.
I also think LK researched CPS prior (as evident by her search history) and specifically used SS to get CPS involved because in some states, false accusations to CPS can result in criminal charges (as it should).
People are also going to take note how insane and absurd it is to write fire marshalls a note which clearly got them to come to the property and cause problems. I’m sure whatever she wrote and claimed to the FM can be retrieved by MB’s attorneys as well. They must keep record of this stuff. MB was driven out of his house to the porch of a barn. That would drive anyone insane. That is what people will notice - not who did what to the smoke detectors.
There are huge landmarks to this case that stick out like a sore thumb and truly damage any sainthood or credibility LK has. That’s what is going to be painfully obvious to jurors. People have a 6th sense for evil and deception.
And I certainly think the Ks notice this. This is why the minions are sent out to try to do “damage control.” This is why pointless details are being argued ad nauseam. It’s an attempt to regain any sort of aspect of control while spiraling out of it. Again, jurors are not going to see things with the K lense.
