In rewatching LK’s testimony, I did find a date for Symphony. She arrived at the farm June 8th.
I do have a theory about why May to mid June seem quiet. In case I’m not clear, it is a theory, where I’m speculating.
It is possible they had that meeting at the end of April and MB thought things might calm down.
It is possible that for the month of May, he was off doing clinics and things BNT’s do when they are in demand the summer before an Olympic year, especially when they have a history with the Olympic team and/or Olympic riders.
It is possible the social media poster was posting drama directed at the “barn drunk” she was stuck training with. But since those posts weren’t necessarily about MB, they didn’t make it into trial.
It is also possible that there were more incidents like the day MHG “bullied” her by not letting her use a bridle.
It is possible MB thought he could fix that kind of drama when he had a break in his schedule.
Then another horse shows up. Then he finds out Mike McGrain is doing the work that was supposed to be done by RG, and realizes it’s time to cut his losses. So, he does what he says, and tries to convince them to leave (and consults with an attorney.)
Then everything backfires in a most spectacular way, because the Trifecta has now realized that LK is on the wrong side of the power play she started.
Therefore, she starts working triple time to try to get her way.
Mine’s dark purple. My SO drove about 40 minutes to get it for me. My 25+ YO is still hanging on the back of my bedroom door with a nasty coffee stain on it that won’t go away. Dark colours are your friend.
I thought she had scratched from the show or just didn’t go. Can someone with access to the USDF database confirm if she was entered in a show in May or June 2019, and if so, did she actually compete?
Who was actually working to make the farm a success! Training horses, teaching lessons, paying her own way…likely worth more than $5K a month for 4 horses.
I don’t think that cashing a check for August board = MB never asked LK to leave or wanted to evict or or was thinking about/already had filed for eviction. Nor does accepting a board check mean that an eviction has been cancelled. I have no idea what the contract was, but the board check being cashed isn’t an Ah Ha! moment or a gottcha. It’s probably not even related at all. Boarding contracts can and do vary, sometimes wildly.
I believe she got her qualifying 3rd level score at a show on June 7-8, and I think I recall that MHG congratulated her on getting her bronze not realizing that her two 2nd level scores were from the same judge and so LK still needed a second level score, and that LK was later really pissed about MB/MHG not keeping track of what scores LK needed???
The Bronze dispute was over the 2nd level requirements. She rode under Brown twice at two separate shows. Brown substituted for the 2nd 2nd level class which meant the score wouldn’t count toward the Bronze. LK said she was suing show management and officially complaining, making a huge stink on FB about it. Someone finally pointed out fact that judges can be switched for any reason as long as the switch is not midclass. She blames MH for not paying attention to the switch and for not knowing it would not count.
Most riders keep their own records and know what judges they’ve shown under when chasing points. For sure Olympic caliber riders keep their own records and memorize them, but not Lauren. That would require effort and accountability.
If I remember correctly, in some of the earlier threads, that it was felt that it was deliberate or something like that although I am not sure since my memory is crap.
