I think I recall that MHG congratulated her on getting her bronze not realizing that her two 2nd level scores were from the same judge and so LK still needed a second level score, and that LK was later really pissed about MB/MHG not keeping track of what scores LK needed???

Don’t remember where it was posted, but it was shared here that she also threatened to sue USDF, and maybe even USEF. It was all a conspiracy against her, she got the two scores at the level so she deserved her medal, the rules about different judges didn’t need to apply to her like they do for everyone else.

I don’t want to be a complainer but we have not had new artwork in a while. I know there have been hearings, all kinds of legal happenings, hurricanes and such but the drawings are fun to look at.

I have felt the same way. That has its own thread and it needs some new amazing artwork.

I totally agree because I was one of those obsessive ones about scores, tests, judges, venues, etc. as a show mom. Because being hard core about it is taking responsibility for what happens.
Had she done her homework, she would have recognized the judge had changed and that she’d ridden under that judge at that level and approached the show office to find another 2nd level class with a different judge to switch to.

I have not ridden at this level and never will but I can say that everyone I know who does ride at this level does this for themselves, not their trainer doing it for them.
That is also the case in the dog obedience world. I know people with spread sheets for each dog so they can make sure that each leg earned is counting towards titles. With added comments about which judges they prefer and all that stuff.

I guess it is fine if Lauren Kanarek did not want to do these things herself, but she then needs to accept the fact that she got a score that does not count towards her medal.

My best friend all thru our school days everyone thought was my sister. Everywhere we went people said we looked like we were twins.
I did not know I was supposed to take that as something gross.

If he is responsible for her being broken how do you explain all the horrible things she did to people prior to even knowing Michael?
Somehow he is at fault for her attacking GJ?
Somehow he is at fault for her sending fat shaming messages to one of the posters here long before all this happened?
Is it somehow Michael’s fault that she followed an innocent person around a store and made fun of them while recording them and then posted it on social media so she could continue making fun of them along with her followers making fun of them?

So true. You ignored my question that pointed out that you think it is OK for the police to only collect the evidence that proves what they have decided happened and ignore any other evidence that might show something else happened.
Though I have no doubt that if someone you cared about was in a situation where the police did this to them you would feel differently, but heck, maybe not. You have proclaimed it is fine so that must apply to everyone.

I’m wondering if the judge has been out or busy dealing with other cases or just hasn’t had time to wade through the dozen or more motions and cross-motions filed since 8/24.

Didn’t someone say that Fridays are usually reserved for hearings? So if he doesn’t make rulings today, does that mean that the case management proceeding scheduled for 10/4 (with a different judge), will get pushed back?

I’m surprised she spent the entire season in Florida and didn’t show based on the scores posted here.

I don’t see the scores in the screenshot posted above. Are you saying they indicated she needed more mileage at those levels, or that she was ready to move up?

The case management conference is with a mediator. This is sort of what the purpose of a case management conference is - to see what issues exist, see how discovery is moving, see how close to trial-ready the parties are, and see if there’s a possibility of a settlement.

I can’t see it being cancelled/postponed.

But again, I’m not in NJ and I have seen all kinds of things happen in these cases that I would never see here.

I am not sure what season that post is talking about but I read it more to be that they are simply shocked that Lauren spent an entire show season hanging out in Florida but never rode in a show.

I’m literally just saying she has no scores at horse shows in Florida. Unless she did schooling shows (?), she was in Florida all winter and did not show. I just find that surprising. I do most of my showing when I’m in Florida because everything is so close and easy.

Is that usually done in person, or is it a remote proceeding? And is it just with the [official] attorneys, or can the litigants and their other representatives attend? Is it likely that JK will be there?

It certainly can be remote. It’s usually just the parties and their attorneys. No spectators, such as JK. Usually. In my area.

I will cut her some slack on not showing during the FL 2020 winter season as Covid was starting to run rampant and she had lung damage. And perhaps she was still being cautious during the 2021 winter season. (Heck, I was still being careful about where I went and avoiding contact with others in the early part of that year.)
