MB Civil Trial: JK/KK Contempt of Court?

I meant to ask about this yesterday. Who was “the barn drunk”? And I assume that is her terminology - correct? Did she say it in a text or post? Or during her testimony?

“Everything is legal in Jersey!”

Facebook posts. And I think she was referring to one of MB’s trainers that she was downgraded to. Justin, I think his name is?

She said in court that Justin Hardin had a drinking problem. She also did make several posts regarding the barn drunk, or a known drunk, etc.

Thank you for the name error notice! I corrected it in the mother post. You’d think my phone would always divert to Barisone by now, but NOOOoooo!

100% I am too hahaha I will hunt down my ribbons at events too and people will say, it’s just a ribbon who cares?? Who cares? Me I paid $400 for that stupid $3 ribbon I’m taking it home! haha I spent all show season checking judges, rules etc to see what I needed for awards or champs and reported my scores to TIP the day after the show. I so get it. That being said I wouldn’t go after someone if I felt they got in my way somehow haha that’s just too much.

Well, several things come to mind, all typical LK -

  • she wasn’t ready
  • expected someone else to prepare her entries
  • I believe the horse she took was her new import that was considerably different than Symphony and she was unable to ride him without issues.
  • she was intimidated

Edit to say, I checked the score records for the trainer she went to FL with and she did not enter a National show either, so I assume they went for the season to take advantage of the many clinics offered by top trainers. Smart idea.

Oooo! I like the idea of being a marsupiel - we always have a pocket!

She’s probably just laying low, a lot of attention on her if she went to a show. I don’t really want to make any assumptions though could be a million reasons one doesn’t show.

I suspect most who are rabidly passionate about their riding/showing goals are similar to us. Diaries and stats are so important to show progress and preferred judges and venues. It’s an expensive sport and the more knowledgeable a rider is about the mechanics of showing the better they will be. You get it. Wow, we actually totally agree on something! (To be very clear before “someone” thinks I’m being snarky!)

Wait, so the admitted-under-oath herion user who was using suboxone (at least) at the time and who had a boyfriend who was actively using, was mocking someone else for substance issues?

:exploding_head:

I mean, you simply cannot make up this complete void of self-awareness. Hoo-whee! Talk about money not buying class. Or empathy. Or even common decency.

This also lets us know that, while many of us are hand wringing and caring about addicts and how they are treated, LK had zero such scruples with respect to someone who may have been (b/c she lies like it’s her job so I don’t believe he had an alcohol issue based on her posts) struggling with a substance issue. So we are all extending vastly more grace to her regarding this issue than she does to others.

Wow, wow, wow. Imagine someone in her shoes publicly mocking someone for drinking.

And didn’t she have a DUI (was it just one?) and under-age drinking issue as well?

I have expanded the post which @KurPlexed took a snippet from. The quoted snippet I have bolded.

I did not write, as a statement, that “The jury should have returned a verdict of straight guilty on all counts.”

Is it amusing to you to deliberately distort the meaning of what I wrote, KP?

Well, she was attempting to explain why Justin took her phone and Googled CPS and other agencies because he had a drinking problem and did random weird things like that. Sometimes having to grasp for any explanation other than the truth digs very deep holes!

@KurPlexed has done it again!

In a single sentence of mine, she has found a second fragment that she likes!

And here she provoked me into reposting that sentence you all can’t bear to read another two times to point out her misrepresentations.

If KP could rebut the content of the actual sentence with facts or logic, I would think she would. But no, you need to resort to, well, this.

What?

I’m a “candidate” for having a “problem considering IM is JK”?

What are you trying to say? What are you trying not to say?

I do not know for a fact who IM is. I have my suspicions, but I don’t pretend to know.

HH and I have both pointed out that IM has not been outed by either COTH or by the user.

I think you missed my point. I don’t think the gun went off accidentally in a “scuffle”, but even if that were true, then LK would have been injured accidentally. Not attempted murder.

But the question for the civil trial is who caused her to be injured. That would be the party who brought a loaded gun to the farmhouse and initiated a confrontation — Barisone. As the 48 Hours episode stated flat out, Barisone removed the gun from the safe and drove to the farmhouse with it.

Nope. Him carrying on private property is not incriminating.

It was never proven he initiated the conflict.

Self defense is a constitutional right.

What year are we talking about? (I’m still about 100 posts behind from overnight!)

Oh my, what will the antagonizing topic be hounded on today? The Verdict, The Gun, Who is IM? So many beat to death topics to harp on.

I am hoping we get something new from Mr Silver today or the Judge holds court and we get info.

I also deeply hope Michael is finally moved today so many of us can get back to writing him. What a nightmare the NJ judicial system is!
