Michael Barisone/Lauren Kanarek Civil Suit

The text may have meant bundling and not buffering. Auto-correct being what it is, word substitution often happens.

Thank you all.

I can totally remember the DJ on my local radio station relaying that information as I was in my barn that morning. He came on first saying that there had been an accident, and then he came on again a few minutes later with an update.

Any American who is old enough to remember that day should recall that course of events.

Lk said “computer” during her testimony. I would think if had been a tablet, she would have used that term (since she had mentioned “her tablet” at another time).

And yes, I thought about the phone spyware systems but she or RG or JK would have had to get hold of MB’s phone and unlock it somehow so they could download and install the spyware app. So that seems to be an unlikely scenario.

She also said multiple times during her testimony that they had not “bugged” MB’s phone or the clubhouse or his office, and were careful about doing only “legal” recordings. Of course, we know she lies whenever it suits her but she was under oath then, so may have been telling the truth (or at least a half-truth). She was dancing around like crazy though trying to avoid giving direct answers, and it is possible that she meant that she PERSONALLY had not bugged MB’s phone or those other places.

I am going to try to go back and watch RG’s testimony again to see if Mr. B grilled him on that aspect. I remember RG alluding at one point to having a recorder in his pocket, but I don’t remember all the other details of that bit of testimony.

As others have stated, their refusal to turn over all their recordings and transcripts makes one wonder what the heck they are hiding. Do those other recordings and transcripts prove that she committed perjury (in addition to falsifying an SS report)?

I stayed home from HS that day with a raging fever and was laying on the couch when I heard the phone ring. The old school answering machine picked up and my semi conscious fever-addled brain translated my mom’s frantic message as “Wake up and turn on the news! Parrots are attacking the WTC”. Once I realized I wasn’t having the world’s strangest dream, I figured out what she actually meant.

In a FB post she mentioned a phone having silent memo capabilities. I also think there is the belief that capturing this “plot” made it legal some how. There was the text about saying they “had permission” to record. And if it was MHG’s phone, well then it wouldn’t be the office, clubhouse or MB’s phone. My guess is there is plenty of room for someone to skirt the truth if they don’t want to honestly acknowledge the situation.

And quite frankly, she had access to the office and ability to forge a signature. Accessing a phone isn’t too much of a stretch of the imagination.

ETA: plus the claims that MHG was calling around and trashing her to the other local stables so they wouldn’t take her. My guess is that those calls were made either in the office or made on her personal cell phone….

I was at work on 9/11. Someone posted on a bulletin board that a plane had hit one of the World Trade Center Buildings. At that time it was speculated it was just a small aircraft and it was an accident. Then the second plane hit. No accident.

I was glued to the internet and a tv the rest of the day. Not much vacuuming got done that day.

That is the absolute BEST Budweiser and/or 9/11 commercial.

Makes me tear up every time.

Yes, wasn’t the rationale that if the recordings captured some nefarious plan, especially the hatching of a murder plot, that somehow that would get a pass from the legal system?

I’m not crying, you’re crying.

Nope, Nope, Nope…

(Off to cry in my hay now, but once that is done back to the task at hand. One must not be sidetracked from what is at hand now., but I am only a horse of course)

I’m just going to point out that not every single person has their phone locked. I did not have a passcode on mine until pretty recently when I had to get one in order to use an AirTag for my luggage. So I would call it unlikely but not impossible.

Especially since somebody who seems to project a lot mentioned the idea of JH stealing a phone in order to mess with it. Twice.

Agree. So very sobering.

A bit of a segue - there was a mishap with the Bud Clydesdale team last weekend at the San Antonio rodeo. Frightening to watch but thankfully everyone walked out under their own steam. The guy riding shotgun went into that tangle of horses to get them calmed down and straightened out so they could tend to the horse that fell. I am not sure how he escaped unscathed but my hat is off to him.

I’m not even going to watch the horse fall.

I honestly took that to mean the police were providing a buffer between the KKlan and other residents at the farm, but especially Michael. It could also mean the police were buffering the recordings meaning to down load pre recorded materials.

I took it to mean that LK planned to blow smoke up the butts of the intended recipients by claiming police had audios of something. (I believe she had audios, based on her own words, etc. I just don’t know about the police part.)
