I think adrenaline and stress and shock all make people act very differently. When I find myself in the middle of an emergency - like a car accident or a horse wreck… I get extremely calm and cool - almost cold and detached. That is how I deal with such things. Plus I need to be calm for other people or that horse. They need to feel that energy - or rather, lack thereof.
I am not going to fault LK for how she sounded on the phone in the middle of a stressful, chaotic situation when she was badly injured.
It sounds like the moving the goalposts/getting more extensions plan has run its course. Onward!
Funny, that was easy for me to read. His handwriting of the word extension(s) was the most difficult to read, but it was clear in the context of the paragraph that extension(s) was what he meant.
It’s also possible that when you know that your life is at risk (such as when you’ve been shot), you know that you need to be clear and not hysterical so that first responders can get to you ASAP! Not sure how to describe it, but you’re obviously stressed but recognize the seriousness of the situation too…somewhere in your mind.
I suspect given the deadlines given that he is over it. He wants all discovery requests 3 weeks from order and her deposition done 3 weeks after that. This judge wants a trial and he wants it probably by this summer.
I found I could read the handwritten part - and I have never worked in the medical or legal field! Some professionals just have crappy handwriting. And, because I love to call attention to my naughty nature, I would like to point out my new avatar. And no, I am not Ricky Gervais in real life, though I do cuss like him.
I managed to read the bottom handwriting, however with only 12 months to choose from and it can’t be one in the future and should be current and starts with an F, I can’t read the month near the top in handwriting.
Have to agree with this one.
I was trampled and kicked quite badly recently and lying there unable to move and unable to see straight I was able to say to my groom totally calmly that I knew I’d been stood on and kicked in the head, so could she please move all the horses out of the area. Told her I was going to go to the hospital and I’d be grateful for a lift, but first she needed to do all the afternoon yard duties - listing them clearly in order to make sure she knew what had to be done.
My hubby told me she’d phoned him and described how she couldn’t believe I was so calm and together having witnessed the accident happening.
